It was little past eight in the evening when Grace locked the doors to the cinema. She looked around the empty streets, hoping she didn't see anything strange lurking about. She would of left the cinema early but the mess in room five was worse with coke spilled on the chairs and popcorn all over the floor. As she cleaned, she couldn't thinking about what she saw in the mirror. Julia murdering a man and that thing crawling from under the bed and suck the life out of the body.
Grace was pretty sure it was real what she saw in the mirror, she had seen similar things in the hospital when she was a little girl. She remembers looking out her bedroom window to see two male police officers running down the street, guns in hand, running away from some creature that had no body, only head and shoulders and walking on its hands, babe could hear it's teeth chattering away excitedly. She saw another police officer getting fucked by a goat looking think, the male officer shot the goat think and it didn't hurt the creature. She remembered running to her bed and hiding under her sheets. She didn't tell anyone, not even doctor Channard. She always saw these demons walking around the hospital, that nurses and doctors couldn't see then as they tortured the patients and they die in front of her.
As she grew up, with Doctor Channard's new treatments, she stopped seeing them and there were no more deaths.
But how would she explain this? She didn't have any proof. She couldn't tell anyone, especially her family, they would ship her off back to the nut house.
Grace started to believe she was crazy.
Shaking her head, she popped the keys into her bag and pulled out a pack of cigarettes and popped one into her mouth. She started walking back, she was scared to go home, she was scared to go into her bedroom and find a dead body on the floor. She was scared to see Julia and that thing.
A flash of light light the sky, followed by a loud roar of thunder. Rain started to pour heavily, soaking her hair and cloths like a sponge. She didn't care, it was better than going home. Her cigarette snapped in half as the end rested between her lips. With a groan, she walked towards the bus stop shelter and pulled out another cigarette. Popping one between her lips she tried to light the end. Her lighter wasn't working.
"Shit. Come,on." She mumbled in frustration.
She was about to give up when a gloved hand clicked the lighter as the yellow flame danced at the end of her cigarette? Once it was lit, Grace looked to see who it was.
Grace's eyes widened as it was the homeless man.
He smirked, his green eyes shined with mischief. "You got a spare one for lil old me?" He said playfully.
Grace smiles and handed the pack out to him. She watched him light the end and inhaled. He hummed in pleasure, his green eyes staring at her.
She tilted her head to the side. "Are you following me?"
He smirks. "Yes." He says truthfully.
"Why?"
"Because they asked me too."
Grace frowned. "Who."
"The hell Priest... The brother and your mother..."
"My... Mother? You know her?"
"Yes."
"Where is she? Does she know about me?"
"She does, she watches you through doorways to this world... But you will get some answers soon. They are coming." He tells her.
"Who?"
"The Cenobites."
Thunder carries over to a sleeping Kirsty who is dreaming. She moves to the dining room at her father's house. Her face is pale, her hair glued to her forehead with sweat.
Somewhere, a bell is ringing. Flies buzzing around her. On the dining table, a form is covered in a sheet.
It is clear that the shape is human. She reaches the table, and looks at the body.
Suddenly, blood begins to seep through the shroud, begining at the head, eyes and mouth and then spreading across its body. There are sobs underneath the sheet.
Kirsty reaches for it, to snatch it off the body.
The blood has almost turned the sheet scarlet.
She pulls.
The body pulls up and she sees her father in seating position.
She screams.
Steve bolts up in bed, while Kirsty tells. The sheets is snatched off him. He looks across the room to see Kirsty at the end of the bed, with the sheet in her hand.
"What are you doing?" He asks her.
Kirsty's eyes are closed.
"Kirsty?" He calls.
Her eyes are open. She looks down at the sheet she snatched from the bed and drops it in horror.
"Daddy!" She cries.
"Christ. What is this about?"
Kirsty bolts from the bedroom to the phone.
A phone is ringing.
Larry crosses the hallway, blurry eyed. He picks up the phone.
"Hello."
Julia lays in bed, the pillow empty beside her. she's wide awake, staring at the ceiling. She just can hear Larry's voice. Larry is on the phone.
"I'm okay honey. It's all right..."
Kirsty is on the phone.bstevebsits up in bed, having reclaimed the bedsheets.
"I just wanted to be sure you were okay....I love you too, daddy."
Larry puts the phone down and returns to the bedroom.
"Who was it?" Asks Julia.
"Kirsty." Replies back sounding tired.
Frank is standing at the top of the stairs, hiding in the shadows.
"Kirsty." He whispers softly with a small smile on his face.
"So, these things I've been dreaming about wants me?" Grace asked in disbelief.
"Angels." The homeless man says.
Grace frowned. "You just told me they were demons?"
He smirks. "It's on the humans point if view." He replies.
Grace pulls out a new pack of cigarettes and takes another one out. She passes the packed to the homeless man who happily takes one. They are sitting in a small twenty-four hour cafe around the corner of her home. She had learned a lot in the past two hours.
She learned that the Cenobites had saved her life when she was little as her father tired to kill her. It was the smell of her blood that attracted the mother, they smelled the same. She learned her mother's name is Nikoletta. She was a nun at a young age, she had faith in God till her father raped her.
The day Nikoletta gave birth to Grace, the sisters removed Grace from her mother, telling the young nun that Grace was a still born. Nikoletta lost her faith in God. She torched herself repeatedly till she passed out from the pain and blood loss.
When she woke, a small puzzle box was next to her. She solved it, and begged the Hell Priest to become like him with only one memory intact... Her daughter.
The hell Priest tortured the nun himself, became her teacher.
Grace listened to everything, even finding out that her father was in hell and Nikoletta was doing what she does best.
"You're scared..." He asked.
Grace nodded. "Terrified...I've learned that I'm a princess of hell and going to marry the Hell Priest and his brother...and my mother approves of this."
"She wants to protect you." He tells her.
"From who. My father?"
"Angelique."
"Who?"
"It wants the Hell Priest itself. It wants to rule hell."
Grace frowned. "You keep saying IT or THEM? Why?"
"Isn't it obvious. The Cenobites have no sex organs, they aren't male or female. They are not human. They can choose to have those body parts only for their mate..." He explained with a smile.
"Oh, interesting..." She gulped. "Does, the Hell Priest want this...Angelique?"
"You're getting jealous." He smirks.
Grace froze. "I'm not...." She shot back. "... I'm curious... That's all."
"Right, princess." He replies, he doesn't believe her. "They will like your jelousy...." He tells her, putting out his cigarette in the ash tray. "I must bid you goodnight, princess. Duty calls."
Grace groans, throwing her head back closing her eyes. "Please don't call me...." She opens her eyes to stare at him but he was already gone. He vanished.
"Would you like another coffee dear?" A old lady asks with a smile.
