Chapter 12: Nevermore

Cradled in his arm, Scapino saw the Inazuma beauty of its flora, Pierro was careful whenever Scapino wanted to explore the area, but today he didn't allow Scapino to explore for the time being, he needed to meet with someone.

Scapino was sleepy before having the fun idea to climb up to his shoulders so they can be a lookout, Pierro didn't mind, as long as he was aware that Scapino was here and safe.

The moth scrambled up and fell, but clung to his back and began to climb up.

Pierro then stopped looking down at kabukimono, he was betrayed 3 times.

Kabukimono looked up at him, his eyes curious but wary.

"You do realize you're blocking my path?"

"I come not to obstruct you. I have been waiting. What you are truly, is a weapon, one that could be wielded with an iron will... or, you could continue to drift aimlessly."

"Are you trying to win me over?" Said Kabukimono as he looked at the jester with a questioning look.

"The long-fates rebellion has begun. Why not take your place at the banquet and join those who shall feast?" Said Pierro right before Scapino popped out from behind Pierro, finally getting to his shoulders to look down at a surprise Kabukimono.

"Do you want to hold them? They don't bite." Said Pierro as Kabukimono watched as Scapino climbed to Pierro's arm and then hand, his arm now stretched out to Kabukimono as Scapino opened their arms while honking.

Kabukimono hesitated a bit before finally holding Scapino, Scapino honked as their toddler body began to wiggle a bit from Kabukimono's loose grip.

"They don't like to be in a grip for too long." Advised Pierro and Kabukimono quickly corrected himself, Scapino now cheering up and hugging Kabukimono 's side, happy that he had agreed, a new friend!

Over the passing years, Scapino gravitated to Scaramouche and was curious as to why he was sent somewhere, but most importantly they were very much worried about Scaramouche's being, being there when he needed some comfort, at least that's what Scapino thought.

He needed a break from work! Surely he needs some rest to be up and happy! Thought Scapino as they requested to Pierro and inevitably the Tsaritsa when Pierro told them that he was fine.

Scapino got Scaramouche's week off in the end and they followed him everywhere even deciding that they were to take a stroll.

Scapino hoped that the day the rebellion was over, that they could finally get to be a harbinger and prove that they were just as good as Pierro.

Scapino stood before Teppei, the Traveller and Paimon were talking to him and they were taken aback when Scapino arrived just in time to see Teppei's final moments.

A fatui delusion, Scapino can recognize that symbol very well.

"What's that look for? Don't worry, partner. Soon as I've rested up. I'll be right as rain. Right as rain, I tell ya... soon as I've... rested up..." said Teppei.

Scapino's arm was held by the traveller trying to stop them from witnessing this scene, only for Scapino to get his grip off and walk to Teppei, before sitting right next to him and hugging him.

Aether suddenly walked off and talking to Kokomi and Gorou, before running off and Paimon following them.

Scapino looked at Teppei who was resting.
