Samuel's parents couldn't stop gushing about how well the dinner went with Samantha's family. His mother couldn't help but notice how warm and welcoming they were towards them. His father, on the other hand, was happy to note how they seemed to have a lot in common with Samantha's father, given their shared interests in business and politics.

As they sat in the living room, sipping on some tea, Samuel's mother turned to him and asked, "What did you think of Samantha's family, son?"

Samuel smiled, "I thought they were great. Samantha's father is quite knowledgeable in his field and her mother is such a gracious host. I also loved how they welcomed us into their home."

His parents nodded in agreement, "That's wonderful to hear, son."

After a few more minutes of conversation, Samuel excused himself and went back to his room.

He couldn't help but think about the dinner. He was happy that his arranged bride Samantha did not show up. He felt things would have been awkward since their parents would most definitely bring up the marriage without a consideration that he and Samantha did not know each other.

He picked up his phone and sent Sam T a text.

"Hey, Sam. Awake."

He waited for a few minutes but received no reply. The minutes turned into hours and before he knew it, he fell asleep.
