Samantha arrived home after her date with Samuel feeling happy and fulfilled. She knew that she had to inform her parents about her decision to break the arranged marriage agreement. She took a deep breath and went to the living room where her parents were watching TV.

"Mom, Dad, can we talk?" Samantha asked.

"Of course, dear. What is it?" Her mother replied, sensing the seriousness in Samantha's tone.

"I went on a date tonight with someone," Samantha said, trying to keep her voice steady. "I really like him, and I don't want to go through with the arranged marriage with Samuel Mshindi."

Her parents looked at each other, surprise evident on their faces. "Who is this man you went on a date with?" her father asked.

"His name is Samuel. He's kind, intelligent, and makes me happy," Samantha replied.

Her mother sighed, "Samantha, we understand that you want to make your own choices, but you know that the arranged marriage with Samuel Mshindi is important to us. We have been planning this for a long time."

"I know, Mom, but I can't marry someone I don't love. Please understand that I want to be with someone who makes me happy," Samantha said, her eyes filling with tears.

Her father took a deep breath and looked at his daughter. "Samantha, we only want what's best for you. If this man makes you happy, then we'll support you. We just want to meet him and get to know him better."

Samantha felt relieved that her parents were willing to support her decision. "Thank you, Dad. I'll talk to Samuel and arrange for you to meet him," she said, feeling a weight lift off her shoulders.

Her parents hugged her, and Samantha knew that even though they had different ideas about marriage, they loved her and wanted her to be happy.
