Samuel woke up earlier and grabbed his phone. He felt disappointed when he didn't see any reply from Samantha.
He had sent her a text message last night expressing his enjoyment of their meeting and how he was looking forward to seeing her again.
Samuel had been hopeful for a response, perhaps even excited, but as time passed, his hope began to dwindle.
He had spent hours checking his phone before he fell asleep, hoping for a reply. Now, with the morning sun shining through his window, he couldn't help but feel disappointed.
He had thought their meeting went well, and he had enjoyed getting to know Samantha. He had hoped that she had felt the same way about him.
But as the day wore on, and still no response came, Samuel began to doubt himself. He wondered if he had said something wrong or if Samantha was simply not interested in him. He tried to shake off the feeling of disappointment and move on with his day, but it lingered in the back of his mind.
Despite the disappointment, Samuel knew that he couldn't dwell on it forever. He had work to do and responsibilities to attend to.
But the thought of Samantha stayed with him throughout the day, and he couldn't help but wonder if there was something more he could have done to make a better impression on her.
