AU#3 What happened Jinx/Powder x Reader

We sat there for a couple minutes until we heard metal we all looked to see the tambourine monkey it was a signal for us to hide Vander had Powder Ekko and me make it just in case he can't yell for us to hide which why would he yell for us to hide if we need to hide but that's not important anyways we jumped up out of a spot and all ran to a hiding place that we knew they wouldn't check

We heard the door open we looked down to see that it was a enforcer we all held our breath not making a noise we washed as he looked around the room I was hanging upside down I was close to Powder just in case I need to grab her since she was holding onto something but nothing was underneath her I was close to the rod that she was holding onto since there was a gap in the support system on the roof so I could put my legs through that means i'm hang upside down

I saw that she started to slip I didn't think twice as I wrapped both my arms around her and pulled her up I use one of my arms to turn her so she was hanging upside down with me she wrapped legs around my waste as her arms wrapped around my neck keeping a hold of me as I kept both my arms around her back

I knew that she would get lightheaded a lot quicker than I would we all waiting for him to leave to jump down after what felt like forever he finally close the door leaving the room we all let out a breath of air that we were holding I grabbed Powder's hands signaling her to to let go she grab both of my hands and unwrapped her legs from my waist I swung her down so she can land on her feet she was dangling a little bit above the ground what was pretty cute I finally let go of her hands leading her drop down on her feet

I did a set up so I could grab the railing where my feet was once I had my legs free and I was dangling I looked down to make sure Powder wasn't in the way and dropped down I sat on the table with my legs crisscrossed

after a few seconds we heard the door open again "are you all okay" I smiled as I saw Vander open the door this time Vi jump down once we heard his voice "no we're not they almost saw Powder if (y/n) didn't grab her in time. What if there took her" Powder turn on the light that was next to me on the table as Vi spoke "no one is taking any of you" I noticed Ekko trying to get down I smile as I get off the table and walked over to him "never letting that happen" Ekko look down to see me with my arms open signaling him to jump down and I would catch him which he did I called him immediately to make sure he wouldn't fall and hurt himself

"it's already happening" I turned my head to look at Vi "you heard him they won't stop we need to fight back" Vi punch the wall which made Ekko cling on one of my arms for comfort as Powder run over to me and cling on me as well hiding behind me

I'll say this Powder and Ekko never liked violence when it comes to it they'll back out of a fight their afraid their afraid of getting yelled at their afraid of getting injured I have noticed this every time when it comes to it yelling or fighting and I'm with either one of them they cling on to me for comfort because both of them know that I'll protect them when it comes down to it I have back in the pass

they were both running away from someone they were both afraid I was walking around the undercity going to Savita's place to Play cards when both of them ran behind me afraid for their lives I turned to the guy and got in a fight in possession I fought him off protecting them both I even told them I'll protect them no matter what comes and I mean that they both mean a lot to me even though I'm younger than Ekko he still seek comfort in me as Powder i'm one year older than her and she also seek comfort in me even if she doesn't know what to do if neither one of them knows what to do they come to me for help and that makes me smile

I remember this saying 'if they stand behind you protect them if they stand beside you respect them if they stand against you show no fucking mercy' Sevika was the one that told me that that's how she lives by it wasn't a bad thing

"and if you won't I will" I was brought out of my thoughts as I heard Vi voice "I heard this kind of talked before" Vander turned around to leave "Vi come with me I have something to tell you" she didn't hesitate to follow him after they left the room

I turn my full attention on Powder and Ekko "hey it's all right you two nothings bad it's going to happen to either one of you not as long as I'm here" I gave both of them a smile I took both of their hands and sat back down with them to try and comfort them

It's been a couple of hours since Vendor took Vi to talk with her Ekko left a couple minutes ago so it's just us four me, Claggor, Powder, and Mylo in the room

I was about to close my eyes to see if I can get some sleep before we heard the door open "Vi where you been" Mylo sounded happy "rumor is the lanes are going to fight" Claggor put down the knife that he was holding me and Powder was sitting on the bed I was leaning on the wall looking at her smiling I turned to look at Vi and gave her a simple smile as well as she came over

"look I made them for the enforces" I scooted a little so Vi could come sit as I mouth the words 'I couldn't stop her she was so determined' Vi set down as Powder grab two more bombs "these are smoke bombs, and those two are full of nails" Powder handed Vi two of the bombs as I put my knees up to my chest resting my head on them "They're gonna work this time I know it" Powder kept forming around with them as Vi put the two Powder handed her on the bed "me two" Vi started to move Powder's hair out of her face as she handed her something "you know Powder what makes you different makes you strong always remember that okay" Vi got up before she started walking I heard her voice "(y/n) can I talk to you for a second" I looked up at her and scooted off the bed walking with her out of the room

She's shut the door so it's just us two I was leaning on the wall waiting for her to start talking  "I need you to promise me something" I looked at her confused and wait for her to continue "promise me you'll protect her no matter what" I smiled as I spoke "I will always protect her you know-" before I could finish she chimed in "you know what I'm saying is I need you to protect her stay by her side make sure she feel safe with you I understand she does now and probably always well but I need you to promise me that I need you to promise me you'll protect her even if it means..." I pushed myself off of the wall and put a hand on her shoulder "I promise you that she means a lot to both of us I will always protect her even if I had to put my life on the line for her I guess that's something we can both agree on is protecting her I understand we don't get along I don't know why to be honest but you won't have to worry about that I'll protect her with everything I have" before I could say another word I was pulled into a hug

"i'm sorry I was hard on you I understand your a kid I mean you're 11 one year older than powder I guess I felt intimidated I don't know I guess I didn't know how to feel with you being around and Powder always looking to you for advice and not me anymore" I was shocked but I just hug her back not knowing what to do "I promise... I'll protect this family even if that means I have to give myself up you all mean a lot to me even if I don't show it" she pulled away from me and ruffled my hair "i'll see you later I have to head somewhere real quick" I turned around to open the door but before I did I turn my head to look at her one last time "maybe after you come back we can talk and figure out our differences" I saw her nod her head as I went back in the room smile
