AU#3 What happened Jinx/Powder x Reader

*SEVIKA POV*

I put my hand on my head as I try to sit up "what the hell was that" I looked around the building to see it was on fire Silco was on the bridge just standing there "What happened" I looked down to see I was missing one of my arm 'that explosion must've took it off' I stood up and walked over to the bridge "we need to go the building will collapse at this pace" he turned his head to look at me they look back over to the room "you're right but you told me you care for that kid right" I was confused but nod my head yes "judging by how close she was to the explosion she's gone she should still be over them will her body at least" my whole body tensed as I heard that Silco walked past me as I just stood there for a moment debating if I should go looking for her body

I decided against it though I couldn't bring myself to look at her remember our passed how much I care for her

*FLASHBACK*
*FIRET TIME MEETING HER*

I just got done with a fight some punks wanted to see if they could take me on they failed miserably there was blood almost all over the alley from them coughing it up I was about to walk away before I had running I turned back around seeing if I left one to see someone jump above me doing a barrel roll I turned to look as they landed I heard the little kid giggle as they tapped their foot

"it seem to be all healed up finally" they sounded really happy they turned to look at me "oh I didn't see you there" I looked the small girl up and down she had (h/c) hair (e/c) eyes (s/c) skin she was wrapped up especially her legs "what is a kid like you doing out here" she looked at me confused "What do you mean by that" I kept looking the kid up and down "you're injured aren't you telling by those wraps" she looked down then looked back up at me and smile "yeah I know but I should be almost all healed I was just making sure I could still do my stunts and I could actually run with my leg since I twisted my ankle a while ago" I leaned against the wall still keeping an eye on her

"shouldn't you be resting though" she shook her head no "can't have a job to do soon" I looked at her surprised "a job at your age" she nod her head yes "yep I been going on jobs since I was younger as well I was just making sure that I could still run and fight" that caught my attention "fight? why would you need to fight" She turned away from me as she put her hands behind her back "yep sometimes I have to get into a fight so it's good to know how to do it I did see you though fight those guys off do you mind teaching me how" she turned her head to look at me and giving me a smile "I have nothing better to do names Sevika what about you" she turned all the way around extending one of the arm "(y/n)"

*FEW YEARS LATER*

It's been a few years since I met that little girl I like her she's a good fighter even for her age if she keeps training she'll be one of the best

I was at the last drop playing some card games I knew that she was here cooking probably I saw Vander walking around he just got done settling a deal "hey can you do me a favor" he came over to me as I yelled for him "and what would that be" he stood at the edge of the table "can you bring me (y/n)" he looks confused but went to the kitchen a few minutes later she came out and walked over to the table

"you wanted to see me Sevika" she was smiling as she talk "come here" she walked over to where I was at the table I picked her up and put her on my leg and showed her my cards "i'm going to teach you how to play this so watch closely" she looked happy as she looked at my cards and looked at the game

*AFTER A FEW ROUNDS*

I had a smile on my face as I handed my cards to (y/n) a while ago and she was wiping the floor with these guys "I win" one of them said but the little girl on my leg just smiled and laid her cards down "I have a full house I win" he looked to be spaceless as (y/n) had a grin on her face "nice one kid you're a natural"

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I hold my head up as I turned on my heel and walked off I couldn't bring myself to see what the explosion did to her I loved her like a daughter I didn't want to see her bloody her dead body I couldn't bring myself to do it so I just turned on my heel and walked off I walked out of the building as I held my tears back

I felt horrible not picking up her body and burying her somewhere she would like but I couldn't bring myself to look at my poor girl She was like my daughter I love them more than anything I would've done anything to keep her alive but I filled her that is going to hunted me to the day I die knowing I couldn't protect her knowing I broke the promise I told her I would protector her I would keep her safe but yet I couldn't do that
