After we were all healed up we started walking around my old home I decided it would be good if I showed them around since we would be staying here for a while I kept walking until we got to the crystal tree it was still active giving light and life to everything down here which was a good
"Wow" I looked beside me to see Mylo and Claggor both staring at the tree "yeah it's beautiful isn't it" I took in a deep breath as I looked around the area seeing some of the animals still here which kind of surprised me "I've never seen a tree like this" I looked at Vander as he got closer to the tree "yeah it's a Crystal tree it powers everything down here give everything life it was basically the main centerpiece of the entire moon clan" Vander gave me a smile as he looked at me but then looked back at the tree and got closer to it
"(y/n) how did the moon clan find this place in the first place I mean" I looked at Claggor with a smile "well you see the moon clan is related to the moon goddess and apparently she found this place and thought that the moon clan could live here that the people would be safe here sense in the beginning a war broke out and she saw some people that needed help so she saved them and she found this place and they created a home she created a crystal tree that's what they say anyways" both Mylo and Claggor wasn't looking at me as I told them some stuff about the history of the moon clan
"WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT THING" we all turned to see why Vander was yelling we looked closely to see something jump down from the tree "WHAT THE FUCK" Mylo hide behind me as Claggor grab the weapon that was left on the ground from the moon clan "guys it's ok I promise" I tried to take a step forward but Mylo stopped me "I don't trust that thing it's creepy" I started to laugh a little as the creature hissed at Mylo showing off their blue split tongue that they have "Selene behave" they immediately looked at me and backed up a little "kid what did you just call this thing" I looked at Vander with a smile as I got out of Mylo's arms "Selene they are a moon creature the last one of their kind well I don't know if they were more of them actually but Selene is basically the protector of the moon clan the royal family to be pacific"
I went over to Selene and got down on one of my knees "hey do you remember me it's been a while" I held out by hand for Selene to sniff to see if they recognize me "(y/n) what are you doing that thing will bite you" I looked at Claggor as he sounded more worried than anything I was about to say something before Selene jumped on me and started to lick my face "SELENE" i yelled out their name as they got off of me but only to start wagging their tails around happy to have me back and to know that I was alive
I was laughing as I wiped off the saliva I got on my face "yeah I'm glad to see you to Selene" I sat there laughing as Selene wrapped their tail around me and started to growl at Vander, Claggor and Mylo "all right you let go of my sister" Mylo grab the weapon from Claggor which just made me laugh "calm down all of you" I turned Selene's head so they were looking at "it's all right they are my friends more like my family at this point they are the ones that took me in when the war broke out on the bridge when we went to go help the undercity" Selene gave me a confused look as I took in a deep breath "i'm sorry to say this buddy but the rest of the moon clan to my knowledge is dead my parents uncle everyone the only reason why I survived was because of Vander" I pointed at Vander as I explained to Selene what happened
Selene went over to Vander and started to sniff him "ummm kid" Vander looked at me as I just sat where I was "it's all right they're making sure you aren't bad they are protective of me for two reasons now" once Selene finish sniffing Vander they licked his hand then bow to him a little thanking him for saving me Vander gave Selene a small smile as he petted their head "you know you want so bad completely creepy yes but you haven't heard us so" I looked at the boys move pacifically Mylo "drop the weapon drop it" I pointed one of my fingers down as I looked at Mylo "what am I a dog" I snapped my fingers as I kept pointing my finger down telling him to drop the weapon as Claggor started laughing "Mylo listen to
(y/n)" Mylo glared at me a little as he put down the weapon after Vander told him to listen to me
"So (y/n) why is Selene so protective of you you said there was two reasons now one you're the last one of the original moon clan but what's the second reason" Claggor was helping me up as he asked me that question "it would be better if we had somewhere real quick" they all looked at me as I pointed to the castle "it has information about the moon clan Selene and the protectors even have information on the medicine now to make it" Vander walked over to us with Selene beside him "then let's head there we do need to find a place to actually sleep it's late" I nodded my head as I went over to the path to get to the castle "we can stay at the castle there are plenty of rooms so we can stay there" Mylo and Claggor both ran in front of me has they yelled
"LAST ONE THERE IS A ROTTEN EEG"
I just shook my head as Vander put his hand on my shoulder "go on kid have fun" I gave him a small smile as I started running after the boys to catch up with them
