Weiss Schnee: Commonwealth Minuteman (RWBY x Fallout 4)

Chapter 4- Mary

It was dark, the piercing headache still hasn't left Weiss's head and her body was still sore. She would have liked to continue sleeping due to her fatigue but the constant rattling she felt around her made sure she would stay awake. Weiss opened her eyes and blinked a few times before she could try and register her surroundings.

Weiss was on a small cart along with some barrels and a couple of sacks. The cart seemed to be going through some rocky terrain which would explain all the rattling she was feeling. She tried to get up in order to get a better read on her situation but stopped midway as she felt the sting on her leg. Weiss winced from the pain at immediately looked at her leg but to her surprise, the wound she took from the creature's bite was mostly gone and was wrapped in bandages.

"Whoa, easy there... your leg isn't completely healed yet, you shouldn't move too much..."

Weiss emmidiately looked at where the voice was coming from. It came from a girl around her age with light brown hair who was wearing a green mechanic suit. She was currently leading the cow looking creature which was dragging the cart.

"You...you're that girl who saved me"
Weiss said as she tried to recall the events from the battle.

"Sure am, though i wish i got there sooner, you almost lost your leg"

"No, it was..."  Weiss looked at her leg and recalled the strategy she implemented during the fight, she recalled exactly how close she was to dying, if this girl hadn't been there then she would have most likely been dead already.

"Thank you....for saving me" Weiss looked at the girl in front of her with a smile. She truly was thankful to her savior.

"Awww, don't worry about it. Wastelanders gotta help each other out right? The commonwealth is too dangerous for people to survive alone."

"The commonwealth? Is that what this placed is called?"

"Yeah, you new around here?"

"Yes, you could say that...."  While Weiss was thankful that the first person she met wasn't some sort of psychopathic monster like everything she's encountered so far, she still had some questions that she needed answers on.
The first of the questions was something she had already answered herself but she still felt like asking it just to make sure.

"Umm,  is the commonwealth somewhere on Remnant perhaps?"
Weiss asked in a slightly hopeful tone.

"Remnant?,...Is that what they call this world at where you're from?  It kinda fits though. You could definitely call this world a remnant of something."

Weiss was disappointed but not too much, she had already answered this question before afterall, this was just to satisfy the little hope she had left.
It was disappointing that it turned out exactly like Weiss thought it did but at the same time she was relieved that she wasn't dead and living in some sort of hellish afterlife.

Now all she has to do is find out how she got here and find a way back "If there even is a way..." . Weiss shook her head 
"No, don't think like that, if there was a way to get here then there must be a way back, Im sure..." Weiss thought to herself , regaining a little hope in her heart.

While Weiss was busy thinking to herself, Mary was staring at Weiss and observing her.

Mary looked at the white haired girl with a very observant eye, she looked at her unusual clothes and her mannerisms. From what she could tell, this girl was very lost and definitely not from around here, she didn't even look like she was used to the wasteland in general.

"I wonder where she's from?.."
Mary thought to herself. "She doesnt look like a raider at least..." Mary was cautious of the the person she has just taken with her, afterall you can't trust everyone in the wasteland. Although if she really is just a lost and confused person then helping her would be the best thing to do right?
