Belle and Randy had long ago finished their popcorn and candy. They were left sipping cokes as the movie came to an end.

Belle was significantly happier than she had been when the movie started. Though Randy acted as though he hated the movie, he was enjoying it because she was enjoying it.

They were sitting on his bed, their backs against the wall with pillows in between. Randy had an arm wrapped lazily over her shoulder and her upper body was resting on his chest. They were both very comfortable as the movie ended.

Mrs. Meeks hadn't come back since she'd chunked the soup at Belle. The couple had assumed she'd been busy with Martha. That was, until, the young girl pushed the bedroom door open and saw them laying as they were.

"Hi," Belle greeted, pulling her hand from underneath the blanket to wave at her.

"Hi!" Martha said, surprisingly excitedly for a girl who had spent the morning throwing up.

"What do you want?" Randy asked, clearly not nearly as excited to his little sister as his little sister was to see him.

Belle elbowed Randy in the gut. "Ow!" he yelled.

"Stop being mean to your sister, she's your sister!"

"You're only saying that because you're the little sister, you don't know what it's like to have a snot-nosed little sister." Randy argued.

"You're only saying that because you're the older brother, you don't know what it's like to have an asshat older brother," Belle retorted.

Randy didn't have a response to that.

"So why isn't mom mad at you for skipping school?" Martha asked Randy, choosing to ignore the couple's little argument.

"Bella was upset, she needed a day," Randy shrugged.

"So why are you skipping?" Martha repeated.

"Because I was upset, and he's cheering me up," Belle answered, looking at Randy with a smile on her face.

"I don't think it's possible for Randy to cheer anyone up," Martha said, causing Belle to start laughing.

Randy glared at his little sister, "Can you go away now?" He asked.

Martha rolled her eyes but left regardless, shutting the door on her way out.

"What time is it?" Belle asked.

Randy glanced at the alarm clock on the table next to his bed, "11:57," he replied.

Belle nodded, "I'm hungry," she said.

Randy looked at her, "Me too," he decided.
