Yesterday could not have gone better. Jedediah was even better in person than Octavius ever thought he could be.
The only topic that wasn't discussed was Jedediah's busted lip. Octavius had noticed it because he had been staring at Jed's pink lips as he spoke. He was glad that Jedediah didn't bring it up, as he didn't have an explanation for it.
Octavius lay on his couch, staring at the photo Jed had sent him. He barely knew Jed, but he had fallen harder than ever.
He loved the way Jed spoke. He found the accent adorable. Octavius loved how Jed lit up when discussing the movie he would be a part of. He saw every aspect of Jedediah to be charming.
Octavius sighed. He liked Jedediah.

Octavius waited for Jedediah's quick response. Jed was a fast typer. But it never came.

"Jeddy, who's Octopus?"
Jed froze. He forgot that Kahmunrah had his phone. "Uh, someone on the cast."
"I'm blocking him."
"Wait, don't block him. He's the other lead, an' we agreed to chat to work better together."
"I'm blocking him," Kah repeated, his tone harsher.
"Please don't. I'll do anythin' for ya."
Kahmunrah stopped, setting the phone down. "Oh? Like?"
"Whatever ya want. Just don't block him, please."
Kah grinned. "That's what I wanted to hear, my deary."
The nickname sent unpleasant shivers down Jed's spine.

Octavius sighed, throwing his phone onto the coffee table. Jed never responded to his text, but he had seen it.
Did something go wrong yesterday?
Was Jedediah in trouble?
Octavius didn't know, and it was eating him up inside.
