Narrator POV

Charles went outside and he noticed that the dinner was still going. But he didn't want to stay.
He felt more like watching TV for the rest of the evening and then going to bed.
He grabbed the keys out of his pockets and walked to his car, when the front door closed.
Charles looked above his car roof and saw her walking out of the Ferrari paddock.

It was dark outside, kinda cold and she was walking there with her short, but beautiful dress.
Why was she leaving already? And why didn't anyone accompany her, like Carlos?

You don't care about her. Just drive home and go to sleep, he said to himself.

But what if something happens to her while walking all the way back to the hotel?
She will get herself a taxi, won't she? She won't walk this long distance...
Or will she?
Come on, Charles.. you don't really care.

He tipped with his fingers on the car roof while thinking.
When he finally opened his mouth, his voice was straight and cold. »You are not going to walk to the hotel all by yourself, will ya?«
Valerie turned around and faced the one that was taking to her.
»Watch me, Leclerc.«, she replied and just continued walking.

Charles got into his car and drove near her.
»If you won't get in and let me drive you to this damn hotel, I will make you.«, he said as he put the window pane down.
Valerie raised her eyebrows at his words.
She was obviously surprised that he would talk to her like that. But she didn't had the urge to counter.
She gave him an annoyed look so it would seem like she didn't do this voluntarily.
»Alright.«
Valerie got in and Charles began to drive to the hotel.
The car drive was silent. Not even the radio was on. They both just focused on the street.
»Here you are.«, he mentioned as they arrived.
Valerie stepped out of his car. »Thanks, I guess.«, she said.
He gazed at her standing on the sidewalk in her stunning dress. Even though he wanted to hate her and all, he couldn't keep his eyes away. And if he would've hated her the way he wanted to, he wouldn't have driven her here.

»Good night, then.«, he just said and turned his engine on. Valerie didn't say anything. She turned around and entered the hotel. Charles watched his rear-view mirror as long as she was seen in it.
While driving, he couldn't focus on the traffic. His thoughts were somewhere else.

Damn it, you don't care, man.
