The sun had just came out of hiding behind the horizon and shone through the paddock windows. It was peacefully quiet in the halls, barely someone around at this early hour.

Yet, at a round table in the empty cafeteria, two familiar sillhouettes were discussing something in a heat beneath their breath. A dark voice got louder, spoke with frustration.

»I told you it wouldn't work! He just can't stay away from her.« Hatred filled his words.

The woman took a long sip of her coffee, raising a brow and curling her caramel brown hair behind her ear in the process.

»Then just pressure him more. Shouldn't be that hard.«, she simply said, supporting her weight with her elbow on the table.

»Yeah, like it's that easy. Besides, I don't like what we're doing anyways!«

»You didn't complain when you told Leclerc you would kill his family if he won't break up with poor Valerie

»Don't say her name like that.«, Raphael warned with frowning brows, holding a cup in front of his face.

Rebecca leaned in closer.
»And besides, it's not like you would get in her pants just by asking nicely.«, she hissed back at him, pretending like he hadn't said anything.

»At least not when Charlie boy is around. Tzz.«, Raphael mentioned under his breath, almost not noticeable.

Rebecca rolled her eyes and continued her coffee.
»You surely have some pictures of his mother laying around your desk, don't you?«

Raphael nodded slowly.

»Then just pin them to his fridge and put a warning text underneath, all done.«

He took a deep breath.

»You're sure no one suspects anything?«

Rebecca shook her head.

»And the blood tests-«
»I faked them before they reached his mail.«

Raphael sat back in his chair, closing his mouth like he had just lost an argument with his mother.

He hesitated for a long moment, analyzing the coffee-ish liquid inside his cup.

»All the effort didn't stop him from visiting Valerie in the hospital, after all.«, he pouted, avoiding Rebecca's harsh look that changed into curiosity in mere seconds.

»You sure he visited her?«, she asked with haste, as if the answer depended on her life.

»I saw him exiting mid-race and driving with the amulance that came after Valerie passed out.«

»Hm...«, Rebecca made sounds of wonder, making Raphael look up again.

»What?«

»I wonder why she lost conciousness.«

»Well-«

Rebecca rose her finger between them, interrupting his reply.

»Actually, I don't really care. Just make sure Charles leaves her alone from now on.«

»How am I supposed to do that

Rebecca made an annoyed sound with her tongue.

»Just figure something out, god

Raphael sighed. His stomach turned at her orders. He hadn't liked her plan from the beginning, but what some People would do, desperately out of love.
