Lorenzo

The next morning...

"Dami leave some food for the rest." Mamma says with her thick Italian accent as dad slaps the back of his head. Dami continues stuffing the food in his mouth as he mumbles. "They should've woken up already."

"Maybe you should stop eating before you gain the weight." I mumble and his head snaps towards me. He starts flexing in front of me and I roll my eyes at him. "I go to the gym every day for hours so I can eat what I want. Leave me alone mamma's boy." He tells me.

I stand from my chair marching towards him but mamma stands in front of me hugging me. "Oh don't pay any mind to him Lorenzo Mateo. He's just trying to get to you." She says and I scoff. "He knows damn right how to do it too."

Dad speaks up taking a sip of his coffee. "What did you expect. You've known him since you guys were 3." I sigh. "You guys remind me everyday."

Dami walks up to us and joins the hug. "You know I love you mamma's boy." I push him out of me and mamma's group hug and he stumbles backwards.

"Good morning everyone." She says with a chirpy voice as she stands in the doorframe. "Good morning Ivy." Mamma says happy. "Good morning Ivy." Dad says nodding. Dami runs up to her. "Good morning bear!" He says hugging her.

She now looks at me and smiles. I walk up to her and give her a kiss on her forehead. "Good morning. How did you sleep?" Everyone continues what they're doing as I talk to her.

"Good. Didn't wake up with you beside me though." She tells me and I frown. "I woke up early. Didn't want to wake you." She comfortably sighs as she rests in our hug. "It's okay. I have more days to wake up with you right. Where's Sharky?"

I think for a few seconds as I remember where he went. "Mauro took them for a walk with Venus to the park. They've already eaten breakfast too." I tell her and she nods relieved. "Okay. I met Mauro yesterday."

My eyebrows raise. "You did." I tell her and she looks up to me. "I did and he was very nice but mysterious." She says and I shrug. "Sounds about right. Let's not talk about him anymore. How was your day with Venus?" I ask her.

"Fun. We got ice cream at some point and watched a lot of Disney movies. How are your wounds?" She questions me. "They're fine. Glad you had fun with Venus." She smiles sweetly and walks up to mamma getting breakfast.

Dad pulls me to the side. "How's your wounds son?" He asks me and I shrug. "They're fine. Nothing I can't handle." I tell him casually and he raises an eyebrow. "Good. But can Ivy handle it?"

Can Ivy handle it? I don't know, but she told me she could.

"She can." I tell him sternly. "Why aren't you talking in Italian?" I ask him and he looks back at Ivy. "There's no point in talking Italian if everyone here can understands me, even Ivy."

"Good point." I say.

He walks closer to me. "Son, you're taking over this business meaning there's a 50/50 chance you won't be coming home. Your mom doesn't agree already with you taking over. Have you asked Ivy how she felt?" I stand my ground. "I haven't. But I will and we've talked a little about it already dad. She says she's not leaving me."

"But there's a possibility you're leaving her." He finishes and walks back to the family.

I'm left stunned in my tracks in the fact that he's right.

There is a chance of me not coming back to her one day. For her to see me in pain again. I don't want to put her trough that, but her staying should be her choice.
