Ivy

He's not worth being upset over Ivy. He played you like a violin. Everything was fake.

That's how I feel and I'm 99% sure this is factual. I don't know why I feel so upset. We weren't even dating, hell we barely knew each other.

Still I feel like we were together for years and it hurts like that.

I honestly feel like a fool thinking it could be more lol.

I brush my thoughts off, finishing getting ready for work. It's 7AM and I barely got any sleep last night.

Putting my curls into a slick back bun with 2 curls loose on the side, framing my face. Wearing a black blazer and black trousers. Which may I say does hug my lower body curves perfectly. I really love these trousers, but is it suitable for work? I'm too upset to care.

For my face I don't do anything more than brushing my eyebrows, curling my eyelashes and finishing off with a bomb lip combo and high-lighter. I don't feel like doing full coverage today. Too upset to care.

You will hear that a lot.

After locking the doors of my home, I get into my car, driving off to work.

Arrived at work I'm nervous to go in, but let's get this over with. The faster I go in, the faster this day will pass by. Or not.

I see Damiano walking in, hoping he doesn't spot me, he does. "Ivay!" He calls out to me, with a big smile on his face. At least one of us has one. "Hi Dami," I say embracing his hug. "Are you ready for the day?" He asks me searching my eyes, but I don't let him find anything. "Born ready." I say forcing a smile.

He nods and takes my hand. "I'll help you trough out the day to make it easier for you, ok? Don't worry you can count on me." I follow him into the building, holding his hand.

I appreciate Dami for helping me today. I thought he would want to talk about Lorenzo, but luckily he doesn't start about that at all.

"Hello Bart," Dami says to the receptionist who was being quite rude on the day of my interview. I guess his name is Bart? Funny name. No offense to the Barts out there! Bart rolls his eyes at Dami. "Hello Mr. Marco." Marco? I think Dami's last name is Marco.

Dami visibly crunches at the use of his last name. "Well Bart, this is Ivy. Ivy this is Bart. Today is her first day, which floor is she on?" Bart doesn't reply and types away on his computer. After a few seconds he looks me straight dead in the eyes with no emotions. "10th floor. Office 203."

I nod. "Thank you." Dami shrieks. "Fun! That's next to my office!"

And on the same floor as fucking Lorenzo. Out of all floors. I had to get the 10th.

Dami and I walk to the elevator as he presses the button. "Ivy, don't worry alright. I know he hurt you and he was really trying not to."

Oh boy. Talking about this so soon?

I nod in understanding, but don't utter a word. If I were to talk, he'd hear my voice break and I don't want him to hear that. No thank you.

We walk to our offices and say goodbye. I don't know why we said goodbye. It's not like our rooms aren't next to each other.

I sit behind my desk, decorating it to make me feel more comfortable. I've added a white bean bag into the left corner, some plants on a table in the right corner, and a picture of my family next to my desk.

I love this picture of my family specifically. It has my mom, my dad, my brother and me in it with the biggest smile. It was my mom's birthday and we love to celebrate it because her birthday means so much to her.

I put the files that got put ready onto my desk into the right order.

After 2 hours of ordering files and helping people on customer serves I decided to take a break.

I hear a knock on my door and an old, but young looking man walks in. He looks very similar to Lorenzo in some type of way. "Good morning, sorry to disturb, are you Ivy Thea?" I stand from my chair, shaking his hand. "Good morning, yes that's me. How may I help you?"

He smiles. "I just wanted to check in on you, seeing how you're getting into work." I give him a warm smile back. "Okay thank you. I'm sorry if I come of rude, but you haven't quite introduced yourself." He shakes his head apologetically. "Excuse my manners. My name is Luca Lorenzo Giovanni, but to not make things complicated, I go by just Luca." He says proudly.

"Luca Lorenzo Giovanni? Are you the father of Lorenzo?" I ask wonderingly. He smiles. "I am. It's actually Lorenzo Jr, but he goes by just Lorenzo." He shrugs and I smile. "But I'll let you finish work Ivy. Welcome to the business and hopefully you'll stay awhile." He winks and open his arms. I smile and give him a hug and he leaves.

Such a hug-able family.

I visit Dami in his office. "Hi Dami, wanna go for breaky?" He looks up from his computer. "I'm down. Want to have breakfast in your office? I want to see it!" He says excitedly and I smile. "Okay, we can. Let's get breakfast first, you drive."

"Yes ma'am." He answers. We walk to the elevator and he stops. "You go ahead, I need to do something first." I nod and he leaves.

I'm waiting downstairs for him as he comes waddling. "So.. don't hate me yet about what I'm going to tell you." I look at him questioningly and see just one particular man I wouldn't want to see today. I give Dami a sharp look and he smiles guilty.

"Alright let's hurry this breakfast up I have a lot of-" He stops his sentence as Dami moves from standing in front of me. Our eyes lock with each other and I look somewhere else. "Dami a word please."

Lorenzo

I pull Dami to the side. Right now I wish I could kill him.

"Dami what do you think you're doing?" I ask him and he shrugs. "It wasn't planned I swear! She asked me to get breakfast and so I wanted to ask you if you wanted some and then you said you'd just join but I don't want to say no so I thought you wouldn't mind."

I roll my eyes at Dami and walk to Ivy. "You guys go and get breakfast. I'm sitting this one out." She scoffs. "I didn't expect you to come so why are you telling me this?" Badass Ivy is back.

I smirk. "To let you know. And you were expecting me, I know you, remember." She rolls her eyes at me. "Hate to break it to you but not everything revolves around you."

"Funny you think it doesn't" I snap back at her and to my amusement she smiles. "Funny you think it does. Get a life and stop bothering me."

"I have a life Ivy. I'm not sure you do." I tell her teasing her. She scoffs. "Yeah for sure. Go get laid you're being a sourpatch."

I'm now smiling too. "I am in fact getting 'laid' tonight. Thanks for the reminder." I finish off and walk back to my office.
