"Bohot waqt ho gaya, ab tak woh Laddoo ko neeche kyun nahi laaya?" I asked after a while when we were both finished with everything.

"Main dekhti hoon," Mish said.

"Nahi, tu yahin ruk. Main jata hoon," I said, entering the room. My eyes widened in shock as I saw the scene before me, and I slapped my forehead.

What else could I expect when I sent one sleepyhead to wake up another? They were both sleeping soundly, cuddled up to each other. I rolled my eyes at them and slapped Abeer's arm hard.

"Ahhh... Sone de na," he grumbled, cuddling my Laddoo again.

"Arre, maine tujhe yahan usse uthane bheja tha, phir se uske saath sone ke liye nahi," I said, trying to pull him away.

"Vo uth nahi rahi thi, aur usse aise sote dekh mujhe bhi neend aa gayi," he said sheepishly, smiling. I shook my head at him and started caressing Laddoo's hair, tapping her cheeks lightly to wake her up.

"Laddoo, wake up, sweetheart," I urged. She opened her eyes slightly, glanced at me, and then closed them again.

"Come on, wake up. It's late now; rise and shine," I said, lifting her up and making her sit.

"Umm, I want to sleep more," she yawned, rubbing her eyes.

"Nahi, baccha, dekho maine tumhara favourite nashta banaya hai. Khaana nahi?" I chuckled at her.

"Sacchi?" Her eyes lit up.

"Mucchi.. Chalo now get ready fast," I said, helping her stand up.

"Okay," she said, turning to leave but stopped to kiss my cheek and then Abeer's.

"Good morning," she said before running to the bathroom.

"Good morning, doll!" Abeer shouted after her. I glanced at him.

"What?" he asked, looking at me suspiciously.

"Chal," I said, grabbing his shoulders.

"Kaha?" he asked.

"Neeche. Usse time lagenga na," I said, walking out of the room.

"Nahi, tu ja. Main uske saath aata hoon," he said, pulling away from my hold.

"Par..." I stopped when I heard Mish shouting my name from downstairs. I looked at Abeer, who was sitting and scrolling through his phone. I knew he wouldn't come, so I left without saying anything to him.. . . .

One Eternity Later

"Bhai, yaar, ye dono ab tak nahi aaye hain, aur mujhe bhook lag rahi hai," she said, tapping her plate.

"Haan, mujhe bhi bhook lagi hai," I replied, rubbing my stomach.

"Chalo dekhte hain," Mish suggested, and I nodded in agreement. But as we approached the door, the sight in front of us made us stop and admire them.
