"Teju... Teju... Open your eyes teju?" I whimpered in agony, struggling to open my eyes as a familiar voice called out to me. Slowly, I managed to pry my eyelids open, greeted by the sight of a dimly lit room, illuminated only by a solitary yellow bulb in the corner.

Attempting to shift, I realized my hands were bound to the chair, sending a wave of panic coursing through me.

"Teju?" I turned to my right to find Di, also restrained with a cut on her forehead. Desperation to communicate with her washed over me, but my immobilized hands rendered me speechless.

"Tum thik ho?" Her voice trembled with fear, mirroring my own panicked state.

Where are we? Where's Sunny? Why are we tied up like this? Has someone kidnapped us? But why? I silently questioned myself, my thoughts racing as I nodded in response to Di's inquiries.

The next moment, the metallic creak of a door opening pierced the silence, revealing Alex's entrance with another individual.

"Ah, hello, lovely ladies. I trust you both had a good sleep," he greeted us with a smirk, sending shivers down my spine.

"What the hell is going on, Alex? Why have you kidnapped us?" Di's voice trembled with anger.

"Relax, girl, why so tense? Let's have a civilized conversation. You're in such a hurry, what's the rush? But let me make one thing clear upfront—I absolutely despise any disruptions. So, it's a humble request, please don't disturb the flow my talking, okay?" His demeanor was unsettlingly different from the Alex we knew from the party. Something about him felt off, and an ominous feeling gnawed at my gut.

"Enough nonsense! Why did you bring us here?" Di squirmed in her chair, attempting to break free.

"A valid question. Look, you weren't supposed to come here, but leaving you alone at home didn't sit right with me. So, here you are. Happy now? Got your answer," he replied, his tone dripping with mockery before shifting his gaze to me, sending shivers down my spine.

"And do you think you can bring us here and walk away unscathed? Never, Karan and Abeer won't let you get away with it," Di retorted, her voice now filled with confidence.

"You talk a lot. Look at my darling, how calmly she sits. She's a good girl, that's why I love her. And yes, I don't do anything behind closed doors, so I've already informed your boyfriends that you're both with me," he stated.

I listened in silence, unable to react as my heart pounded wildly in my chest. I could only imagine how Sunny must be feeling right now—scared, angry, vulnerable. Tears welled up in my eyes as I regretted not listening to him when he warned me. All I wanted was to be in Sunny's arms, never letting him go.

"Did you like the room? It's nice, right?" I glanced around. The room had a creepy vibe, with broken glass bottles scattered everywhere and two large tables. On one table lay various tools like hammers, scissors, steel rods, and knives, while the other held bottles filled with unknown liquids.

"It's my favorite room. My game room. We play games with girls here. If they do well, they move to the next round. If not, they face punishment with these tools and acid," he explained, sounding like a maniac. I felt disgusted and ashamed for ever thinking he was a good person.

"Ugh, don't you have any shame?" Before Di could say more, a glass bottle struck her right leg with such force that glass pieces pierced her skin.

"Ahhhh!" Di screamed in pain, and I struggled to reach her. I sobbed, shaking my head, pleading silently for him not to hurt her.

"Hush now, don't do that. I told you I don't like it. Next time, it'll land somewhere worse," he warned, sending shivers down my spine. Then, he grabbed a knife, placed a chair in front of mine, and sat facing me.

"Finally, finally, I get to talk to you in person, privately, without your boyfriend interfering," he said, placing the knife's point on my right cheek and dragging it down. I winced in pain as he held my jaw tightly, dragging it until it reached my cleavage.

"Don't..," Di was saying something, but he pointed the knife at Di, warning her not to speak.

He then wiped the blood from my cheek with his forefinger and sucked it. I recoiled in disgust.

"Nice... You must be wondering why you're here," he said, as I slowly nodded, eager to know the reason.

"Let me share a story my dad told me two months ago. Eighteen years back, my dad, who was obviously involved in mafia activities, had a business in human trafficking. Like father, like son, right? Anyway, there was this capable officer named DCP Ratan Prakash who made the mistake of going after my dad. He had two daughters, Kashish and, well, the younger one, who's mother died while giving her birth. Can you guess who she was? Yep, it's you. So, my dad kidnapped your sister Kashish to trap your dad. Your dad found out, left you at his orphanage, and went to rescue your sister, but unfortunately, she died in the process. I'm not sure what happened to her, but knowing my dad's people, that poor soul must have been preyed upon by so many hungry beasts. Your dad then paralyzed my dad, and after some treatment, he's finally able to speak a bit now. He told me this story just two months ago. I'm giving you the condensed version because I didn't want to waste time. Anyway, as he was telling me, his blood pressure shot up, and he had a heart attack. His dying wish was to see Prakash's younger daughter dead or to receive our 'special treatment.' So, I went looking for you."

I had my family—mom, dad, and sister. How could Mom leave me like that because of me? My sister, Dad, all of them...

"Easy there, don't fry your brain with all that pressure. It's just a little zit compared to what's coming. Oh, by the way, I have another piece of news for you. You know your father's orphanage? I blew it up, along with everyone inside," he said casually, as I stared at him in disbelief. No, that couldn't be true.

"What?  You can't believe it. It's true darling. We planned it so well, it almost failed until you arrived there. That's why we made karan's fake accident call to get you out of there, and then boom... Look," he pulled out his phone, showing me a video of me leaving the orphanage, followed by an explosion exactly three minutes later. No, no, Bache, kaki... They were all there. I began to cry.

"Hey, hey, don't cry. You don't look good when you cry. There was no one worth mourning for; no one was going to cry for them anyway. It's better this way. They've probably found peace in heaven if their deeds were good. If they were like me, they're probably in hell. Think of it this way, they lightened the burden on Earth, twelve fewer people," he said, laughing. I glared at him angrily and spat on his face.
