I saw Laddoo enter again. I turn my head to the side, exhaling to ease the burning sensation in my mouth. Glancing at her, I notice she's holding a half-eaten vada pav in her hand, with another half-eaten one lying on her plate. She smirks at me, and I quickly cover my mouth with my hand to stifle a cough.
"Sunny, agar tumhe bhook lagi thi to pehle hi kha lete, natak karne ki kya zaroorat thi? Aur mujhe dramebaaz kehte ho," she teases, reaching her hand out towards me holding vada pav. My coughing fit gets worse, and she tries to suppress her laughter.
"Ab toh bilkul nahi khana," I manage to say between coughs.
"Fine," she replies, about to take a bite. However, she pauses mid-action, sets the food down, grabs her file, and begins working, pushing the plates aside.
Not feeling good, I push my chair closer to hers, grab a vada pav, and hold it out to her. She looks at me, puzzled.
"Khao," I say, and she takes another vada pav, offering it to me. I accept the bite and feed her in return. Silently, we continue eating, exchanging bites. After wiping my hands with a tissue, I stand up to leave, but she grabs my hand.
Looking at her, I see tears in her eyes as she mouths, "I'm sorry." I can't stay angry with her any longer, so I sit back down, pulling her into my lap and holding her waist.
"I'm sorry. Main toh sirf masti kar raha tha subah, mujhe nahi pata tha ki tum itne naraz ho jaoge. Please, baat kar lo, tum gusse mein achhe nahi lagte," she says, her face filled with sadness.
"Tumne mujhe subah kissie nhi nahi di, mere favorite nashta nahi banaya, aur office bhi mere saath nahi aayi," I start complaining.
"Maine toh tumhe subah hi kiss diya tha jab tum so rahe the," she teases, and I smirk at her.
"And why do you think, baby, that I didn't know these?" I said, and her face was worth watching with that cute expression. I lean closer to her, but before my lips can touch her, we hear a knocking sound, and I release a frustrated sigh.
"Come," I shout, and laddoo tries to get up, but I tighten my hold on her. She glares at me, but I just shrug.
Omi enters inside the cabin; he gives me a teasing smile seeing our position, but I give him a pointed look, so ignoring that, he says,
"Bhai, Mr. Raj Kanojiya and Alex D'suza are here to meet you." And that was a shock. Why are they here?
"What? But why? That too without an appointment?" I ask.
"Don't know, bhai. They just said that it's urgent," he nods, and I ask him to send them into the cabin after 10 minutes.
"Laddoo baby, you know Abeer's cabin, right?" I ask her, to which she nods.
"Good, then go there and stay with Mish. I'll come after the meeting and also send Abeer if you see him there," she nodded, and I peck her lips. She gets up from my lap, taking her phone; she was leaving when the door opens, and two people enter inside.
