Everyone was settled and Elan was solving one of the equations on the white board. Elan was very happy that morning, Helen was also dressed up though she could pass as 'simple' compared to other girls, he was still happy that she made an effort. The truth is, Helen wasn't dressed for him, she just didn't want him to see her dressed up like someone who doesn't give a damn about their looks. Some girls' even wore heavy makeup and they kept asking every simple thing, Elan was annoyed and so was Helen but they both had to taste the bitterness of their own medicine.

Helen looked at Elan and thought he was becoming more and more handsome. She thought he will give her trouble in class but he didn't, this was great! She looked at other girls and she found them disgusting. Half of the girls wore heavy makeup and they were barely recognisable! They wanted to attract the 'hot lecturer' but they did the opposite.

The class was finally over and Elan went to the office, he was waiting for Helen but she didn't show up. After class Helen went to the library to borrow a few books with Anna. When they were done they bought some snacks in the school campus and left. Anna was waiting for her driver and Helen was waiting for a taxi.

"I wish my dad let me drive my own car, look at other girls" Anna said and let out a sigh.
"He doesn't allow you?" Helen asked
"Yep. I got in a car accident while driving last year, since then he doesn't let me" Anna said and pouted.

While they were talking, a black cross Polo stopped in front of them, the window on the back seat rolled down and revealed none other than Elan, the hot Lecturer. Helen fought an urge to roll her eyes at him, she thought he would leave her alone? She really thought highly of him!

"Want a ride?" Elan asked with a playful smirk on his lips

At that moment a black Porsche appeared and stopped nearby.

"Yes yes" Anna said while rushing to the other side to open the door while dragging Helen with her.

Helen recovered from shock, Anna was already dragging her she wanted to pull her hand but she knew it will look suspicious and people might find the person in the car so she could only let Anna drag her.

Elan sat on the left side, Helen on the right and Anna sat between them.bas soon as they were settled, Anna looked at Elan with sparkling eyes. Elan thought she looked creepy but he had to endure it because if it weren't for her, Helen wouldn't be in the same car with him.

"Don't tell anyone about this!" Helen thought send a text to Anna.
"About what?" Anna asked and looked at Helen with an innocent face. Helen felt like strangling her to death!
Anna's phone rang and saved Helen. Elan chuckled, he was aware that Helen didn't want anyone to know about them.

"Yes uncle. No no don't worry a friend of mine offered me a ride. Sorry for the trouble" Anna lied.
The black Porsche belonged to Anna, she noticed it first that's why she dragged Anna with her without hearing her side.

Helen was quiet the whole ride, Anna kept asking Elan some crazy stuff like why he chose to become a lecturer instead of being a model. Helen felt like cursing, Elan had to drop Anna before dropping her. Elan took Helen to a park instead of taking her to her house, he wanted to have a chat with her.

"Mr. McCarthy, please respect your status. If you don't care about your reputation, please don't stain mine" Helen said. She wanted to make it clear that they had nothing to do with each other.

"Says someone who's been had over hills with me" Elan said and smirked.

"Mr. McCarthy think so highly of himself. What happened back then was just an online dating...no attachments" Helen said and smiled.

"You mean you were not in love with me back then? Ckme on stop lying to your brains, we both know better" Elan said

Helen recalled the painful days and felt as though she had been humiliated. The fact that she loved Elan despite not knowing him in real life was the last piece of her dignity!

"And what if I was in love with you? It's all in the past now. Yes we were lovers back then but now you're nothing but a mere lecturer to me. Let me love my own live in peace, you left and I was in pain. You have no idea how much it hurts to have sleepless nights! To wake up in the middle of the night just to cry to hug your pillow coz you can't tell anybody bout it! I got used to pain, I learned to live with it. You have no idea! What happened back then is something that I've cut a long time ago" Helen said and left. Elan had no idea what triggered her but he was glad she opened up.

Before she left she said, "I have a boyfriend, please don't try to chase me" then she left. Tears kept falling down on her cheeks but she refused to look back.

Elan wanted to run after her but she said she has a boyfriend. He doesn't want to admit it but he won't chase her either. If he ran after her, she might hate him which will cut him deeply! He won't give up on her either, she's in pain no that doesn't mean she'll accept him!
