After having a meal, Elan took Helen to the zoo and they had so much fun. That afternoon, Helen was so tired and paid no attention to everything that was going on in school, she listened to Anna's rumbles about what happened when she was away and felt like Anna was her lighthouse. The girl protected her even when she was not around, it was such a rare thing in that class as people of that class could pass as "people pleasers" who only cared about signing the deals.

After school she went home and promised to take Anna to shopping that weekend. Since her mother was not home, she went to bed and Elan told her he got stuff to do that evening so she didn't have anything to do after studying for some time.

Elan sat in his office with his mother looking at the information their family private investigator just send them, they couldn't believe what they just read. In as much as they were surprised, they were not mad, they felt for the Martin's family. It looked like the family had been under a lot of pressure and they finally saw the light and had power to finally strike back.

"We're not getting involved in this, ok?" Mrs. Mary warned.

"Of course, mom. In order for them to feel like they accomplished something, they have to do this by themselves plus our involvement might mess their plans. I just hope they succeed." Elan said truthfully.

"Looks like they're already winning" Mrs. Mary said looking at her phone.

Other news were trending and at that point, there was no hope that Edward would ever get away with this. And there were also female who were trashing Edward online as they have also been assaulted by him. Some said he had no class as most of the girls had no connection with people of higher class but if one thought deeply, he had done that on purpose. People who had no backing wouldn't do anything as they had no power.

In Mrs. Pam's office:

"Ok, now we'll just have to wait for the biggest day to put an end to all this" Mrs. Pam said.
They just came back from meeting their team and adding fuel to the fire that was already burning. Having been done for the day, James drove Mrs. Pam home. Since he was also tired, he took a room at Mrs. Pam's home and rested for the day.

Few days later:

Mrs. Mary was meeting up with the elders. She couldn't believe those old hags knew almost everything that Edward had been doing even the murder for Helen's father yet they still forced her baby to marry his daughter.

"I hope you're ready for what's coming, Mary" the first elder said.

"What do you mean for what's coming? Y'all knew everything yet you still forced our family to get involved in that type of a family? Unbelievable!" Mrs. Mary was fuming.

"We're doing this for this family..."

"This family my foot! Don't you all realize how dangerous this is? What're you taking my husband's efforts for? My husband worked hard for this family so is his father and to be this willing to throw it all away just like that only prove how ungrateful y'all are!" Mrs. Mary interrupted in a low dangerous voice.

"You don't know anything..."

"Then tell me, what is it that I don't know? That you elders want to drag this family down? That y'all want everything to be run by you? As if giving y'all decide what to do in most important matters in this family is not enough!" Mrs. Mary was truly enraged.

"Your father-in-law was involved in this murder, woman!" The second elder thundered.

The temperature in the room immediately decreased to zero.

Edwin's office:

Edwin was sitting in his office chair, his head was a mess. The woman that had been popping in his dreams was rejecting him. He tried everything but the woman wouldn't budge, even when he tried using her son who really liked him it was still a no. He'd given up in helping his twin brother as he realized that there was more to his case that he didn't know. He knew that Edward was stubborn but to murder a person? Their own half-brother at that?

He got out of his office and went to his woman's work, he needed distraction.

At Hanson's group of companies:

A beautiful woman with white skin and black Raven hair was sitting in an office chair, her green eyes were staring into space. She was lost in thought until her secretary came in and told her there was someone who wanted to meet her. She let the person in and regretted it as soon as the other party stepped in.

Seeing her frowning, Edwin couldn't help but ask, "do you despise me that much?"

"What if I do?" The woman asked with a sweet voice.

"Then you have to get used to me coz I'm not giving up" Edwin said as he sat on one of the chairs  in the office. Of course, he wasn't giving up. It was his first time putting his feelings out there for a woman and he got rejected, what a joke!

"I thought you gave up on us when you didn't return after giving me your child" the woman dropped the bomb.

"What child?" Edwin asked confused.

"Of course you won't remember, it was I who had to deal with the aftermath" she said.

"What aftermath? Wait...you mean to tell me...Ruby..." Edwin asked with a shaking voice.

"No" the woman said, she couldn't believe she just spilled the beans. She swore that she'd go to her grave with that secret but turns out she was wrong.

"If not then who is his father?" Edwin asked in a low calm voice.

"Not your business..."

"Damn you woman!" Edwin hissed.

"How were you supposed to know his father? You never looked for us after that night!" The woman exploded.
