"Edwin and the beautiful woman sat in the silence, his head was a mess. He couldn't believe he missed his baby's first word, first step and his woman's pregnancy! In as much as he hated women back then, he still wanted to spoil his woman rotten when she was carrying their child. He knew he'd been drunk that night hence he didn't remember the woman, and her being one of the daughter of one of the richest men in the country, her dad must spoil her otherwise they wouldn't have hid his baby from him. He was mad but he didn't want to blame her, he'd seen Catherine when she was pregnant with Lea, he wondered what more his woman endured and never told him. On the other hand, he was proud of her. Her act proved that she was a strong woman who can run her life by herself.

On the other side, Jade, Ruby's mother was also thinking what was the next step now that she said something that's going to turn their lives forever. She knew that her father was definitely going to be against her being with Edwin as he didn't have a good reputation but since they were both men, she'd let them handle it. Plus by doing that she'd get to punish Edwin for not coming and look for them.

"Look, I was drunk that night hence I don't remember anything..."

"Oh yes, you were otherwise you wouldn't have said those things you were whispering in my ears then left me just like that" Jade said fuming.

The memories of that night came rushing in her mind, the way he touched her, his kisses all over her body and every word he said that night. She'd spend her life as a miserable woman who thought about the baby daddy who probably didn't care about her. Her father forbade her from looking for Edwin, the fact that she never made public appearances as the daughter of the billionaire made her life better.

"I know I did you wrong but I just didn't know, maybe if you came to look for me it'd have made this a lot better. At least I'd have taken responsibility of everything I did" Edwin said truthfully.

"Responsibility? Edwin, this is way deeper than that! You were my first and my first love at that! I had to stop being delusional because my father wouldn't let me! Do you know how that felt? It felt like torture! My fantasies were the only thing that kept me going!" Jade spilled the beans out of anger. She was honest, Edwin was her crush at that time and the fact that he took her pride made him his first and her first love.

"And I want to make up for those times ive been a jerk to you. Ive missed most of the things but I dont want Ruby to be fatherless and I love you even though you may never believe it. I loved you from the moment I saw you in that coffee shop, I couldnt sleep at night. I lost you first but now that ive finally met you again, I don't wanna lose you" Edwin said with sincerity, his eyes almost pleading.

"You'll have to persuade me first, and if Ruby wants you in his life which is pretty clear then we can talk something. But I assure you, you won't make it past my dad" Jade said smiling. She wanted to see if Edwin really loved her like he was claiming.

"For my woman I'm willing to take whatever " Edwin said accepting the challenge.

It was a Tuesday morning at MCN:

Anna just arrived and she was going to be alone for the day as Helen told her she's not coming to school that day. Arriving in class, she saw Ruby who looked really sad. She wondered what was up with that jerk but being the kind soul that she is, she put her bag down and approached him.

"Hey, you good?" She asked and sat down next to him.

Ruby only looked at her then looked up at the roof, he wasnt in the mood to talk with that crazy girl. Too much stuff was going on in his life.

"Hey, I know ive been kinda rude to you but we both know the reason. Just because I tried protecting my friend doesn't mean I despise you, I just don't like how ignorant you have been to that issue" Anna explained, she didn't even know why she explained herself to that jerk.

"And I like the kind of friend that you are" Ruby said with his green eyes closed. Anna could tell the guy was going through somethings.

"And I can be your friend if you want to, you dont have to bottle it up" Anna said and just like that Ruby told her everything.

After listening to his story, Anna was speechless! If Ruby's father is Edwin, that makes him Helen's cousin. After releasing the news last week, people got to know who was the mysterious woman behind Martin's Empire.
