"Mrs. Pam listened to everything that Edward was saying, she tried to picture what type of a home her husband used to live in was, but nothing came to mind. Even hell sounded better than that house! Killing innocent lives for what? For reputation? There must've been something wrong with that old woman's head, she was a psychopath!

"I can tell you that much, I went to your house to give you this will." Edward said pulling out a file from his office bag.

"I thought I told you I want nothing to do with that family" Mrs. Pam said firmly.
She wasn't budging, she knew that anything she took from that house will come back to haunt her later. She did everything she did to make sure her daughter lives a good life.

"But the old man left all of this under your husband's name"

"I'll donate them to charity or something, I don't want any piece of anything from that family" Mrs. Pam stressed.

"I'll leave this copy to you then"

"Alright, so your brother... I hope you understand that I'm not backing down" Mrs. Pam said looking at Edward straight in the eyes.

"If you wanna leave a peaceful life, I suggest you let everything go" Edward said teasingly.

"There's no way one can leave peacefully knowing that there's someone out there who might kill you at any time." Mrs. Pam said.

Helen woke up, she wanted to use that bathroom but there was something wrapped around her waist. She tried to move but the person behind her tightened her waist.

"Elan..." She called and Elan groaned in his sleep.
"Come on, I'm pressed" Helen said and Elan let her go.

She came back and found Elan sitting on his bed. He looked sexy with his hair messed up, he was shirtless. Helen looked at his abs, they looked dreamy, she wanted to touch them.

"Hey, are you ok?" He said in his sleepy voice.

"Uhm... I wanna go home, but we have to talk first" Helen said approaching the bed.

"Ok, what do you want to talk about?" Elan said patting the side next to him on his bed, it was clear that he was in a great mood.

"What's happening?" Helen asked looking at him with her doe eyes.

"Nothing, wha..."

"Elan, don't lie to me! I saw it, first you didn't reply my texts in the morning and then when I came over it was clear that something was up" Helen said with a shaky voice.

"I'm sorry I didn't reply your texts, I was going to see you..."

"Really?" Helen said and stood up from the bed. "Wow, Elan, just wow! I text you hundred times, you don't reply and when I ask you what's wrong you lie to me?" Helen said angrily.
She was angry at the fact that Elan was not ok and he didnt want to share what was bothering him with her! She felt pathetic, she thought they could trust each other!

"Babe, calm down, ok? I promise you this is not easy on me either, I'll tell you everything when the time's right" Elan said and tried approaching her.

"When the time's right? Fuck that Elan! You know there's no such a thing as right timing! I... I don't want to sound pathetic or desperate right now, but I saw it Elan. I saw the look in your eyes and right now I'm freaking out. I'm scared, Elan please tell me whats going on" Helen said and looked at him with teary eyes. What she saw in his eyes scared the shit out of her.

"Ok, I'm sorry. I'll tell you what's going on" Elan said and hugged her.

Anna got home, she greeted her parents who were busy with their work and ran upstairs to her room. When she got in she kicked her shoes off and collapsed on her queen sized bed. Ding!(a text notification on her phone)

"Hi, not to be nosy or anything but is Helen ok?🥺 I'm really worried about her" it was Ruby's text.

"I don't know man, I just hope she is. She doesn't open up easily so I really dont know" Anna replied and sighed.

She'd known Helen for a long time now but even now Helen won't talk unless she pressed her. She wished she could do something for her friend, it must have been really tough, fighting all the battles with her mom plus the heartbreak she got from Elan on their online dating.

Her phone rang again pulling her out of her thoughts.
"I know she doesn't want me anywhere near her so please be there for her, ok?🥺she looks like a great person to me" Ruby wrote another text on the other end.

"You really are sensitive, Helen doesn't hate you. Give her some time, she'll open up to you... Oh my man's calling, chat later man😉" Anna replied the text and accepted the call from Miguel.
