•Vallion POV•
"My name is Maelin." She says with a soft smile on her lips. My god, the beauty of her is so intense that I can feel my ears starting to burn. And this setting. The perfection is almost too much. The sun slowly starting to make its way down to the tips of the sea, the warmth of the breeze as it's pushing her hair slowly off to the side. From the sky to the sand, it's absolute perfection.
I keep my eyes on hers with my hand still extended. "Maelin is such a unique name." I smile back to her.
"My name is Vallion. It's more than a pleasure to meet you."At this point I expected her to take my hand as a greeting. But she just...continues to look at me. Is she not from here? Or is a handshake not common where she is from? I pull my hand away. Awkward, but never the matter.
With the sun slowly making its way over the water, I should probably get her some clothes. Since she clearly doesn't seem to be wearing a top or minding that she doesn't have one on.
I shake myself from my thoughts before my mind can wander any further. I clear my throat. "Ahem. So, do you have anything to cover with? Or are there clothes of yours somewhere nearby?" I ask her looking around us to see if I can see a pile of women's clothing somewhere.
"Clothes?" Maelin asks. I can hear the question in her voice. I chuckle.
"Yeah, clothes. Do you have any? I don't want anyone else find you just out in public like this." I say, motioning up and down toward her. "Your entire chest is almost out."
"Is there something wrong with my appearance?" The curiosity in her voice isn't even hidden. "Do humans normally cover themselves?"
I try not to laugh. Her question is very odd. "Yes, people tend to normally wear clothes since being naked in this part of the beach is considered against the law." I say. I watch her eyes grow wide.
"Against the law? Really?" She says in a almost hushed tone. I nod. She looks around as she sinks herself into the water up to her neck. I chuckle at her reaction. Then a thought comes to mind.
"I have a spare beach towel in the trunk of my car. I'll get it for you. I'll be right back." I get up and start to walk towards the road where I have parked.
When I get to the car, I pop the trunk. After going through 2 black duffle bags, I finally find the grey beach towel. I close the trunk and head back over to Maelin.
When I start to see her more clearly as I get closer, she is back to being a little more than waist deep in the water. She has all of her hair pulled to one side and putting it into a braid. Since she seems to still be enjoying herself in the water, I set the beach towel down on the sand where the water won't reach to get it wet.
I stand back and watch her for a little while. 'Even her back and shoulders are perfect.' I think to myself, admiring her. The way the sunlight radiates off her skin is almost inhuman.
I watched as the water from her hair dropped and fell onto her skin, rolling down her side and back into the water.
Even though we had the same hair color. Maelin is the first I have ever met with white clearly being her natural color. It's astonishing really. Though of course on her it looks better. My pale skin with my white hair and ice blue eyes, it just makes me look even more...indifferent if you will.
But my most favorite thing about Maelin?
Her eyes.At first look they seem like a medium brown. But once you really look into them more, they are a deep purple like color to them.
They are kinda larger and at an angle, making them almost cat like. Her pupils are also noticeably larger than what the normal pupil would be. Which isn't weird. It's just...very intriguing. I wonder how else she is going to make my mind pace and run deep in thought.
There are to many mysteries to her to not want to know all the answers to them.
What did I do in my last life to make me so lucky to stumble across the prettiest woman in all of Sumatton?
I want to see the rest of her. I want to know how tall she is. I bet she's short. Light too. It would probably be so easy for me to pick her up and just take her to my car and-"Sir Vallion? Are you feeling well?"
The question pulls me from my mind, and I realize that I'm staring at Maelin.
I feel my ears start to burn again.
"Uh- Y-yeah I'm fine." Which was a lie. Right now I'm more than goddamn embarrassed. I didn't mean to stare. She's just so stunning it's hard not too.
"Are you sure? Do you need to hydrate? Your ears seem to be getting red. Is that normal for humans? To change colors?"
My god.
I feel my face getting hotter. Why is she having this effect on me?
I rub the back of my neck and force myself to break away from her gaze. "Um, yeah normally I guess. But seriously what is up with the whole 'humans' talk?," I chuckle, "I get it that most people don't feel human on this big floating rock, but you seem to refer to humans as something truly unknown."
"Well...I'm not exactly..." Maelin starts to say, but then stops and looks out across the ocean. The sun is going down more, but there is still plenty of light.
The yellowish orange glow that it radiates off her makes her skin look even more chocolate in color.
"Not exactly what?" I ask, sitting on the ground crossing my legs. She is silent for a long moment before she turns to me.
"Come back tonight and I will show you."
