Chapter 11: Cid

When the crew finish getting rations in town Hunter packs them up onto the Marauder while Kaiya goes back inside with Omega at her side.

"So, you guys staying here? We don't mind."

"Thanks for the offer Cut, and Suu, but the Empire is growing stronger and after seeing what's going on in the city here this isn't the best place for us to lay low, not with..."

"Not with Crosshair on your tails. I understand, if you need anything let us know, we'll probably be heading off world soon, start a new life on a planet away from war."

"But Cut, this is your home."

"I know, but I want to do what is best for my family, and I know you will do the same for your brothers. Keep an eye on them Kaiya, eventually the Empire is going to be to strong to fight. You have to be ready to let them go Kaiya."

"Not yet Cut, and that'll never happen, I will watch over these guys with my life, this is my family."

"I know it is, just be mindful of what you do Kaiya, I know you want Crosshair back but you have to take things one step at a time."

"Why are you telling me this Cut?"

"I'm just telling you what I know from experience, you forget that I was a clone too during the war, until losing my brothers became to much for me to handle and I came here with Suu keeping a low profile, as you should too."

"No, it's too risky, not now, not with the Empire."

"The Empire is just going to get stronger Kaiya, just be careful Kaiya, look after Omega and the boys for me."

"I will Cut."

Cut smiled and Kaiya sighed softly looking down then looking back up at Cut and nodding walking out the door heading up into the Marauder where Kaiya went to go over into her room, Omega went to the back of the Marauder in the gunners mount where while Omega was playing with the kids Wrecker put a room together for her over there which made Kaiya happy not just for Omega, but for herself as well.

On the way back to her room Echo's door to his room was open, he was sitting down on his bed looking up at the metal ceiling a small tear seen in one of his eyes.

Kaiya walked over into the room to sit down next to him rubbing his back when he sits up and sits next to Kaiya who didn't say anything and let him be until he was ready to talk.

"Thanks Kaiya."

"Your welcome Echo, you wanna talk about what's going on or no?"

Echo nodded his head softly and looked at Kaiya directly in the face.

"While you guys were in town getting the rations I was here on the Marauder looking at the data on Tech's computer and... I saw Rex's report of Fives, what he did and what had happened, it mentioned you too."

"Yeah, I was there too when me, Anakin, and Rex went to go and find him, he was shot by Fox and I'll never forget him doing that, I hope now that he's dead. After it happened I made plans to go after him but I couldn't do it, I know I would be expelled from the Jedi order if I did."

"What if he's still alive?"

"Then I'll kill him, attacking him until he takes his last breathe."

"Kaiya, you shouldn't, that isn't the way."

"What way is there Echo? You guys are just soldiers, Omega is too, and I'm just a General looking over you guys."

"That doesn't mean you should go after him after that happened years ago before the war came to end."
