They walked into the kitchen straight away. “How do you like your coffee?” Riaz asked as she put the kettle on its stand to boil. She turned around facing Jayden to get his answer.

“Black, two sugars.” She nodded her head and carried on. Jayden watched her slender figure as she spooned the coffee into two cups and mixed the sugar with it. The kettle boiling brought him back to Earth. She poured the water carefully into both cups. She handed Jayden his.

“Thanks.” He took it from her and followed her out the room. She switched on a set of lights and walked into a bright room, which Jayden presumed, was the front room. “This is a nice place you got here.”

“Thank you. Aaron helped me pay for it though.”

“Aaron?” Jayden asked confused.

“Oh, my boyfriend.” Jayden nodded his head slowly, still looking around.

By now they were both sat on the sofa. Jayden put his cup on the coaster provided by Riaz. “Soo, why do the both of you live in such a big house? I mean how many rooms does this place have?” Jayden asked amazed.

“6 rooms. Well, I was pregnant and then I had a miscarriage. We planned on having a big family, but then things happened. I got stressed and ended up loosing the them. I guess everything went downhill from then.” Jayden said nothing; instead he brought Riaz into a hug once he noticed the tears were falling from her eyes. She sniffed into his chest. ”I knew getting myself pregnant, would make him love me more. But I didn’t know loosing them would make him hate me.” Jayden rubbed her back in the process.

“It’s not your fault. I guess everything happened to quickly for you to handle. You learnt from your mistakes. Now teach them to others.” Jayden said the last bit looking directly into her eyes. She nodded her head.

“Yeah, your right. I just don’t know what I'm gonna do with this house. I mean it’s not just mine is it?”

“You don’t have to do anything you don’t want to do.” She picked up her cup and had a few sips before putting it back. “Riaz, you said ‘them’. You didn't know loosing ‘them’ would make him hate you.”

“Oh, I was urm, pregnant with twins. I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.”

“Don’t, dwell one the pass anymore. Look to the future.”

“But I grew soo attached to them. They were apart of me and I loss them. They could have been here right now. We tried again after a while, but we got nothing. The doctors said that I might not be able to have children.”

“Do you forgive him, Riaz?” she shrugged her shoulders.

“I want to. I try to. But he just doesn’t make it easy.”

“So why are you still here?”

“Because I love him. Not as much as I used to, but I still love him.” She sighed heavily. “I was soo young and dumb. He was my everything. Sometimes I can’t imagine my life without him and other times I imagine this handsome man sweeping me off my feet.” Jayden laughed lightly as she went off into a daydream.

“One day a handsome prince will sweep you off your feet.” Jayden said to her but more to himself. Spending more time with Riaz made him realise how much he wanted to find his, ‘soulmate’.

“Jayden, do you want kids?”

“Yeah, in the future maybe. But not for now, I got Sasha to look after.” She nodded her head slowly, relieved that was his answer. Riaz was very much attracted to Jayden and something she needed to make sure was that he would be there for her no matter what. Not like Aaron.

Riaz got up, picking up both her and Jayden’s empty cups. She brought them into the kitchen and returned back to Jayden. She stood in the doorway watching him looking down at his phone. “Follow me, I want to show you something.” Jayden stood up and followed behind her. They walked up the stairs, which to Jayden seemed never ending but Riaz was used to it. They stopped infront of a door. Riaz slowly opened the door by its handle. When they walked in she switched on the light. Jayden looked over to a figure curled up in the bed.

“Who’s that?” Jayden whispered being careful not to wake anyone up.

“Just like you Jayden, I have many secrets too.”
