Jasmine woke up the next morning feeling happy and refreshed. She turned over and saw a peaceful looking Courtney sleeping. She brought her hand up to his face and stroked his cheek. His eyes flickered open at the feel of her soft touch. He smiled and she returned it. “Morning,” He croaked. He leaned in and gave her a kiss. His arms tightened around her as the two got carried away. He reluctantly pulled away. “Will you be my girlfriend?” He blurted out before he could stop himself. Jasmine blinked, silently praying that it wasn't a dream.

“You want me to be your girlfriend?” She asked, baffled. He nodded. She stared at him some more before answering. “Yes Courtney, I’ll be your girlfriend.” He smiled bringing her in for another kiss.

“You're my girlfriend now.” Courtney said struggling to hide his excitement.

“I know. It’s weird.” She sighed happily. They began to kiss again, this time more intimate than ever before. They were interrupted by the sound of Courtney’s phone repeatedly ringing.

“I don't understand why anyone would be calling me so early in the morning.” He rolled off the bed and retrieved his phone. The name ‘Magic’ appeared on his screen. He decided to ignore it and switch it off.

“Why didn't you answer it?” Jasmine asked curious. He turned to face Jasmine.

“Because I’m with my girlfriend,” He replied with a smile. Her face lit up. “I like the sound of calling you my girlfriend. It just has a ring to it.”

He sat beside her on his bed, lacing his fingers through her small and slim ones. He knew that he wasn't supposed to make her his girlfriend, but he couldn’t resist. It was supposed to be ‘no strings attached’-well on his part anyway. He could imagine himself asking her to be his wife and have his children. His eyes trailed down to her stomach and he envisioned his seed growing inside. But he had a job to do. He wasn't supposed to be falling in love with her. He had failed his mission.

Mission unaccomplished.

“Courtney?” Jasmine called out to him from his bedroom. “Where are you?”

“In the kitchen.” Unknowingly to Courtney, Jasmine glided into the kitchen and crept up behind him.

“What are you doing?” He jumped, startled. His phone slipped out of his hand and onto the floor. “Oh sorry, I didn't mean to scare you like that.” Jasmine bit her lip. He looked at her and smiled. He liked the way she squirmed when she was uncomfortable or nervous.

“It’s alright.” He pulled her into a hug. “I was gonna make us something to eat, what would you like?”

“What do you have?”

“Nothing really.” He said with a shrug.

“So how did you plan on making us something to eat?”

Courtney laughed. “I don't even know. I was gonna go shop, but that snow doesn’t look to righteous.” Jasmine pulled away from the hug.

“I’ll find us something.” She went off in search of something to eat. As she rummaged through his cupboards, Courtney watched her slender body and when she couldn’t reach the top shelf of the cupboard, he stood behind her. He pressed his body up against her. He felt her freeze. He ran his hand up her arm all the way to the tip of her finger.

“What are you trying to get?” He spoke quietly, but powerfully. She swallowed.

“The flour.” She stuttered. He grabbed the flour and put it down infront of her.

“Anything else?” She shook her head. “You sure?” She nodded. He took two steps back and allowed her to pass him. A little red in the face, she avoided eye contact. She bent down to pick up his phone and put it aside. For a split second Courtney wished that he hadn’t given her those shorts.
