Chapter 14: Double Evolution

I put him back in his pokeball so he can get some rest after that eventful fight. Everyone crowded around me, congratulated me and was shocked to see litten evolve into torracat. We continued to explore the cave past where team rocket was guarding. We saw a bunch of holes in the wall that looked like an explosion created. It seems they were trying to find something in this cave. We looked through all the holes in hopes of finding a clue until.. "Guys over here! I found something!" Aria yelled at us. We all went towards her to see what she had found. "Look there's a cut out of a shape in this hole, resembling a lightning bolt" Aria said. "Weird, what could they possibly have gotten? '' Chalk said, sounding concerned. "I'm not sure, but whatever it is, it can't be good. We'll need to stay alert and be careful if any of those grunts show up again" I said. "Come on enough talking, let's get out of here. I can see the cave exit from here" Alex said as he pointed towards a light. We all started running for the exit until we finally made it. It was so nice finally being out of the cave. The cold breeze on our skin, the sun shining on us. Our hair blowing in the wind. We were all relieved to finally get out of there. We could see the next city in the distance. All we had to do was get through this one route.

We all started walking towards the city and it seemed very peaceful. There were no trainers at all. We met these two kung fu masters who gave us each an x attack and x defense. Apparently it boosts your pokemons attack and defense on use. There were also a lot of pokemon roaming in the wild, but we all didn't have pokeballs left so we'd have to get them another time. We've been walking for 10 minutes and not a single trainer was here to fight. It was weird. We were about to reach the city until we saw two trainers waiting. It seemed we'd have to do one battle to get through. We decided that Chalk and Aria should go up and fight the two trainers. These trainers were not going down without a fight so they gave it their all in this battle. Despite the trainers having three pokemon each, Chalk and Aria managed to get each of them to their last pokemon. Though Chalk and Aria were down to their starter pokemon as well. Anyone could win, we just hope Chalk and Aria can pull through and win. Chalk's chimchar managed to take out one of their trainers' pokemon, only to fall a few seconds after. "It's all up to you now" Chalk told Aria. Aria yelled at one last attack "Bubble beam!". The opponent's pokemon fainted after getting hit by the bubble beam. Aria was celebrating, so was her popplio, but as popplio was celebrating it lit up blue. "It's evolving.." I said stunned. The popplio continued to dance in celebration as it evolved. The popplio was jumping everywhere doing tricks as it lit up bright, eventually it finally evolved fully. Aria rushed at her new evolved popplio which was called a brionne now. She picked it up and carried it in excitement. Chalk walked over to where his chimchar was lying down and rubbed his pat. "You did your best bud, we still won because of you" Chalk said to his chimchar. As chalk was about to send chimchar back into its pokeball, it also lit up blue. "WHAT TWO EVOLUTIONS FROM ONE BATTLE?!?!" Sky yelled as she saw the evolution happen to chimchar. After a couple of seconds the chimchar had evolved into a monferno. "You look even cooler now, but ill let you rest now bud" Chalk said as he rubbed his monfernos head. He puts monferno back into his ball. Aria did the same as well. We all grouped up again to look at the entrance of the city. "Second gym, here we come" I said determinedly.
