We all stepped out into the fresh air, the cool breeze felt nice. We were gonna head off to route 1 since we had to go through there to get to the next city but... "Leo Leo!" "Yes Sky?" I said in a confused tone. "Can we go back to the house, I forgot my wooper plushie at home" Sky asked. "Look Sky you can live withou-" Sky cuts me off "Pleaseeeeeeeeeeee" Sky asks giving me a puppy dog face. "Alright Alright fine we can go" I said in annoyance. We head back home so we can get her wooper plushie, the wooper plushie helps her sleep at night. We arrived at home opening the door, but what we saw when we opened the door shocked us.
Our mom was being attacked by a team rocket grunt and their golbat. "OI BACK OFF THATS MY MOM" I yelled at the grunt. "And what are you gonna do, you're just a kid" said the rocket grunt in a cocky tone. I readied my pokeball about to send in my starter, sky hid behind me since she was scared of what was gonna unfold. Right before I was gonna throw my pokeball, something grabbed my wrist from behind. I looked behind to see Professor Delfrim holding my wrist back. "You're pokemon are too weak to defeat that golbat, I'll handle it" She let go of my wrist and threw a pokeball on the ground and an espeon appeared. "Espeon use psychic!" she yelled. A circle beam hits the golbat right after and it faints. "Tsk, I'll get you guys next time" the rocket grunt said, pissed that he lost the battle. He jumped through a window and started running away.
The professor ran over to my mom to see if she was fine, thankfully she was. My mom and the professor had a conversation as I waited for Sky to go get her wooper plushie. Sky came down with her wooper plushie ready to go, but before we could leave our mom called us. "Leo and Sky, can you come over here for a second?" We walked over to her to see what she needed. "Here take these 2 necklaces, just as a way to remember me" she says as she hands us a necklace. My necklace has a white gem with a blue eye in the middle, and Sky's had a pink gem with a blue eye in the middle as well. We both put on our necklaces and head for the door. We say our goodbyes and leave our house so we can FINALLY start adventuring.
