REQUEST:
Tony and Steve apartment hunting
Tony has never brought a house before. Sure, his father owns over ten properties; the tower here in New York, the Beach house in Malibu, Tony's student lodgings and a handful of other houses dotted all over the world. But Tony himself has never brought a house, he just let his father decide for him and if it was needed, he let Pepper and the legal team handle all the paperwork for a new house and sent an invoice to his father's bank account and voila, he has a house to his name.
So Tony has never done this before. He has never gone and looked around all the prospective houses; he has never before sat down and talked over the pros and cons of having three or four bedrooms, has never followed around an estate agent and listened to them talk about the house they were viewing, he has never before even gone to look at a house!
Tony flops down on his bed and stares at Steve upside down as he hangs from the side. "Seriously babe, whatever you want we can get, we're not exactly on a budget here!" Tony whined as Steve (sat at the kitchen table) brought up yet another apartment on the website and started to look at the details before noting down the address on the notepad he kept close.
"Baby," Steve mimicked his boyfriend's whiny tone and shut the lid of the laptop with a snap so that he could look into Tony's eyes. "Don't you think that it'll be nice to own a house yourself and not have to buy it with your father's money?"
Tony spluttered and rolled onto his stomach, propping his chin in his hands. "My father's money is my money! Or at least it will be when the company is passed down to me when I'm twenty-one!"
"Exactly, it's not yours yet so it isn't it better if we buy a smaller house or maybe apartment for now, and maybe, buy a bigger house when you get the company?" Steve gently wheedled but all Tony could concentrate on was the gentle reminder that maybe in a couple of years when Tony is twenty-one they would still be together.
"You promise?" Tony asked and Steve rolled his eyes once lovingly but nodded all the same.
"I promise," Steve smiled once more and got up to walk across the room where he pressed a soft, chaste kiss on Tony's lips. "Alright I'd better get going, meet you at this address at 12?" Steve passed over the note and Tony saluted him.
"Yes Sir, yes Captain!" And ducked as Steve cuffed him on the ear sharply but he caught the hand and pressed a soft kiss to the palm. "Do you want to stay the night, get into the swing of living together?" Tony waggled his eyebrows and patted the bedspread next to him, pouting as Steve shook his head.
"Tones, you know I can't I promised your father that I won't." Steve pressed another kiss to Tony's lips and regretfully drew away as Tony's hands wandered south.
"Promise, shromise. My father won't care if you touch his precious son before his 18th birthday! Come on baby, think of it as an early birthday gift." Tony wheedled and Steve shook his head.
"Well I care; I want to do this right!" Steve argued hotly. "Plus, your birthdays tomorrow so why ruin the gift now? Tomorrow you can unwrap it slowly." Steve purposely bit his lower lip and watched as Tony's eyes darkened.

"Okay Sirs, this is the apartment, it's an open plan design the lounge the main attraction with a small kitchenette and breakfast bar to the right. It's fully furnished with a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge-freezer. To the left you will see," The estate agent gestured to the left and Steve obediently turned to the left, keeping a firm hold on Tony's hand as the boy tried to slip away and look around himself.
"This is where the master bedroom is, the show bed showcasing just how big the room is. Next to it you will see more space which can be converted into another bed space or study area." She stared pointedly at their conjoined hands and Steve felt a flash of annoyance at her audacity.
"That's not going to be a problem Ma'am," Steve icily informed her and then started as an important question crossed his mind. "How is the soundproofing in here? If we were to do something will the neighbours be able to hear us?"
The estate agent turned purple with rage. "How dare you even suggest that, that blasphemy..!"
"Actually he wasn't," Tony stepped forward and smoothly removed his sunglasses and beanie. "Tony Stark." He held out his hand and stared her down as she gaped at him incredulously.
"Mr Stark, Sir, please let me apologise," the lady was red faced and flustered. "Please, let me show you the penthouse apartment, I'm sure that's more at what you're looking for isn't it?" Tony waved her suggestion off and looked at her straight in the eye. "Now, are you going to answer my partners question or not?" he asked and the lady jumped at the chance.
"No, the neighbours will not be able to hear you. The landlord has just installed some first-class soundproofing on all the apartment floors." The lady smiled wanly and Tony nodded at her once and slipped his beanie back on.
"Now, if you don't mind we're going to take a look around ourselves, the door is there, please leave," Tony smiled viciously again and grabbed Steve's hand so that they could get on the show bed. "What?" Tony asked defensively as Steve stared down at him when he hopped on the bed.
"I cannot believe you threatened her!" They both winced as the door to the apartment was slammed shut with a bang.
Tony rolled his eyes and lounged back on the bed. "She deserved it, and don't exaggerate darling, I hardly threatened her, I just simply introduced myself!"
"She looked like she was going to cry because of you," Steve shook his head as Tony smiled devilishly at the thought. Steve gently thumped him on the shoulder and sat down on the bed next to him. "Why I take you anywhere I don't know!"
"You take me everywhere because you love me." Tony smartly answered back and Steve nodded honestly.
"That's correct, I do love you." Steve smiled down at his younger lover. "And I'd love to move into this apartment with you."
Tony simply nodded next to him. "And we shall," He let his eyes wander over to the huge arched windows at the end of the apartment that looked over Lower Manhattan. "I think that we should put blue curtains up in here." He murmured, turning so that his lips brushed Steve's neck.
"Hmm," Steve's chest rumbled. "And whys that?"
"Because blue brings out the colour of your eyes." Tony replied honestly and Steve blushed slightly before pressing a soft kiss butterfly kiss to the top of Tony's cheekbone.
"Then I think that in the summertime we should leave the blue curtains open so that the sun can stream in." Steve said decidedly.
"And whys that?" Tony asked, hardly daring to breathe.
"Because then I can allow my mouth to trace the constellations of freckles that map your skin."
