Dada!

Tony pressed a small kiss to Steve's lips as they got out the plane that carried them to the centre of New York where an monster invasion was taking place. "Be safe," Steve whispered as Tony snapped down his helmet and smirked at his lover before talking down comms.

"When am I ever not safe?" Tony smirked and shot off into the air and hovered as he looked down upon the running civilians and the fighting monsters before napping into Ironman mode and shot off to kill some monsters. Steve watched him go with a fond look in his eyes and shook his head.

"You're really crazy about him aren’t you?" Steve turned to see Agent Coulson propped up against the side of the plane and he blushed and nodded, turning to hide his face in his shrugging shoulders. "He's the best thing that’s ever happened to me." Steve explained and Coulson nodded in agreement. "You two really are perfect for each other," He said with a smile.

Steve nodded, turning to run into the fighting of the monsters and for once didn't concentrate on what was happening to Tony, on whether he was okay, on whether he was being reckless or stupid because if nothing came out of their relationship but one thing Steve knew that Tony was stupid, he was self-sacrificing and reckless but he was loving and trustworthy and he wouldn't ever do anything to hurt Steve.

Nearly all the monsters where killed, just a simple throw of a shield, a well aimed set of combat moves or a gunshot or arrow had the monsters crumpling to the floor, dying from their wounds whilst the rest of them fled to their ships and for cover. Hawkeye was darting over the tops of the building, his arrows killing off the last few monsters when Steve heard something strange coming from a collapsed building next to him. Ripping off his mask, Steve dropped it on the floor and picked up his shield and held it to his side before tiptoeing to where the sound was coming from. He dropped to his knees and pulled away at the bricks and rubble before coming across a table that was miraculously holding its weight against the broken rubble and bricks that lay on top of it. The sound was getting louder and as Steve go more desperate and more erratic he threw the rocks and bricks behind him before managing to see what was under the table that was holding itself up.

Brushing away the dust from his eyes he bent down and peered into the darkness and saw another pair of eyes staring back at him. The crying had stopped since Steve had opened up the darkness and he was left looking a bundle of blankets and in them lay a beautiful baby boy who was swaddled up in disarray of blue blankets. Craning forward into the darkness Steve reached his arms out and scooped the baby up and got to his feet and held the baby close, looking down into his dark eyes.

Steve studied the bay, running his eyes over his mop of dark hair that was long enough to flop over his face, to his chubby rosy cheeks to his beautiful dark eyes. A note, a piece of paper stuck out from the blankets and balancing the baby carefully he opened it up and read the hastily scrawled note and took in the running ink and the teardrops that scattered the page.

'Peter, his name is Peter and whoever finds him I want you to love him, to cherish him, to hold him in your arms and rock him to sleep at night. To sing his favourite lullabies because I am no longer to do that for him'

His mother had died and he had no one left and with a heavy heart Steve turned around and walked towards the plane where he knew the others where waiting, where he knew Tony was stood nervously waiting fro the man that he loved to some off the battlefield safe and sound.
