It's been three months since the secret came out and the discovery of Maggie's pregnancy. William and Maggie were going strong and her friendship with Alison was still as it always was. The time passed by in slow increments as the older man watched his lover grow throughout the pregnancy, her stomach now a small bump. It no longer scared him to become a father, in fact, it brought him joy. The thought of becoming like his father had passed, Maggie played a great deal in reassuring him that his fears showed that he would be nothing like Victor. The pair were equally reliant on each other through this time.

Today was a special day for William. He had a plan that was destined to unravel and now was the perfect time. He woke up early on Sunday morning, took a shower, and put on his best looking clothes. The previous night he had asked his little sister to ask Maggie out for what they would call, a ladies day, just to make sure that the woman wouldn't show up unannounced.

He hurried down the stairs of the manor and ran into Lucy.

"I'm heading out now Lu. Behave yourself alright? Don't get into any trouble, please. Love you." He said, passing her by before heading out the door to his Ferrari.

He sat in the driver's seat with both hands on the wheel as his nerves struck through him like a freight train. The man took a single moment to collect himself, taking a few deep breaths, before starting the car and heading out of the driveway.

The drive was filled with him practising his speech, over and over again. He wanted this to be perfect. He had hoped that everything would work out in the end and that he would finally get at least one thing in this life that he had truly wanted; Maggie.

After twenty minutes, he finally arrived at the Greene farm and pulled neatly into the driveway. He parked his car and quickly opened his door to step out. He straightened his black button up shirt and fixed his collar before making his way to the front door.

William stood outside for a few minutes, staring at the door. He hesitantly brought his hand up and knocked against the thick wooden doorframe.

Beth could be heard inside calling out, "Be there in a second!"

After only a few seconds, the blonde teen opened the door. "Oh hey William, Maggie isn't here."

William smiled, "Yes, I know. I came to speak with your father." He cleared his throat and swallowed thickly.

Beth smiled and perked up, "Oh okay! Come on in." She opened the door and let William inside of the farmhouse. "Daddy, William is here!"
As William stepped into the house, Hershel came around the corner with a wide smile on his face. He wasn't too thrilled about Maggie being pregnant but he knew that his daughter was in safe hands with William. The Swans practically grew up alongside the Greenes so Hershel wasn't too worried about Maggie being in a relationship with one of them. Hershel opened his arms to give the younger man a warm hug to which William obliged with a smile on his face.

It soothed his nerves knowing the older man was accepting of the relationship he had with Maggie. He walked over to the love seat and took a seat, Hershel doing the same not long after.

"So what is it you came to talk about, son?" The elderly man questioned, knowing there was a motive behind William's appearance.

William smiled and looked at the floor. His hands clasped together in his lap, "Well sir, as you know, your daughter and I are in quite a serious relationship with one another. With the baby coming in less than six months, I wanted to ask Maggie to marry me. I love your daughter with all my heart and there isn't anything that I wouldn't do to keep her protected and safe." He looked up at Hershel, "I have a ring but I wanted your blessing before asking her."

Hershel chuckled, "Son, you've had my blessing from the start. You think I didn't know you loved my little girl all this time? I've watched you two for years play house as husband and wife taking care of the younger ones. Maggie still has the ring you gave her as a kid." He rested a hand on William's shoulder, "You have my blessing. Just make her happy."

"Yes sir, you have my word. Her happiness is my priority." He assured the elder man and stood to his feet. He stuck out his hand for a handshake from Hershel in which he was granted one.

With a smile, William left the farmhouse knowing that he was accepted into the family and he left with a plan to finally make Maggie Greene, his wife.
