Nyla's POV:
We made our way out of Ninjago City, and later crashed on a beach. The others immediately left the Bounty to fix the port boosters and the rotors on the starboard booster.
Whatever that is.
But me, however. I didn't know what to do. I've never been trained in the ways of mechanics.
I walked to the end of the Bounty, looking over the railings. It was insanely hot out here, but the warmth on my back comforted me, so I stayed in my position. I looked around, watching Zane and Sensei on a nearby rock, peering at something in the distance, before hearing Nya talking to the ninja below. I hopped of the bounty, (carefully, so I wouldn't injure myself. Especially in my rib), and made my way to the group.
"...The rotors on the starboard booster are completely destroyed. And the port boosters are shot from the strain. Oh, sorry guys, she's not getting airborne anytime soon." Nya said, disappointed. I walked up.
"So, we're stuck here?" I asked. Nya turned to me as I climbed up the ladder to the platform where Jay and Nya were. "Yep." She said.
"So if the Stone Army attacks again, we're sitting ducks." Cole said. "Uh, ducks can fly, Cole. Weren't you listening?" Jay retorted, and I tried so hard to keep in my laughter.
"We just got our tails handed to us and we couldn't even stop one of them." Kai said. "Ah, I hate feeling helpless." I furrowed my eyebrow at that comment. He hadn't seen the worst of feeling helpless.
Cole seemed to notice my expression, (thankfully), and bonked Kai on the back of his head. "Hey!" Kai yelled. I smirked when Cole looked back at me with a smile.
"We mustn't give up hope, Kai." Sensei said as he and Zane approached us. "But the Stone Army is indestructible. You saw it. At best, all my powers could do was slow them down." Lloyd said.
My mother was now approaching, and she started to speak. "That's not entirely true. There is a way to defeat them. And it is told within the scrolls."
+++++++++
We made our way into the bridge to continue to find out more on how to defeat the Stone Army. We gathered around the table when mother rolled out a scroll. It had six figures. The green one -who I assumed was Lloyd- was at the center. A golden dragon was behind him. And there was four figures who stood below the green one. Red, blue, black, and white figures. But there was one more. A purple wolf-like figure stood in the center of the four figures. But who was the purple figure?
"The prophecy reveals that the power to defeat the Stone Army lies within the Green Ninja." Mother said. But Lloyd was obstinate. "I tried. I gave them everything I had."
"Yes, but you are stronger than you think. Look." Mother said, tapping the scroll. "The true power of the Green Ninja can only be unlocked when his five protectors find their own pure elemental powers."
"But who is the fifth protector? There are only four here." I asked, and everyone turned to me. Once again, I started to feel uncomfortable, since I never have liked being stared at. I cleared my throat when Wu spoke. "We've found her."
I looked confused, until I saw Nya staring at me. "Is it Nya?" I asked. I really wasn't getting the hint that it was me till Kai spoke, "Is it Nya? I thought it was Nyla."
Kai was oblivious like me. Cole bonked him on the head again, and then there was silence. That's when it dawned on me. I opened my eyes wide as Wu spoke. "No. It is not Nya. It's you."
Me? Be a part of the team? I felt so honored, but I knew I was gonna let them down. I frowned. "I can't. I'd be a disappointment. I'm so weak and afraid. I'd be useless." I said as I looked down, rubbing my arm.
