Nyla's POV:

I flew ahead of everyone in my dragon form. "We're approaching Ninjago!" I yelled.

"Chen and his Anacondrai Army have a day's start on us. Be prepared for anything and everything." Lloyd advised as we all nodded.

"How did we lose so much time?" Kai asked. "You know, you took an oath never to leave a man behind." Dareth responded. "And we're not all quick learners. Mastering your fear to create Power Dragons takes time." Jay added.

"Well, we're running out of that. There's Ninjago City. Hurry." Nya pointed to Ninjago City as we started flying over it. "Hurry's my middle name. Hyah!" Griffin sped away on his speed dragon as we followed.

"Remember, whatever happens down there, we're stronger united. We fight as one." Lloyd reminded us. "Let's blow this popsicle stand." I smirked as we landed in the streets.

As everyone deactivated their dragons, I shapeshifted into a human, about to join my brother. I heard a thud behind me, and saw Cole getting up, rubbing his face. "Did you just fall off your dragon while getting off?" I asked as he blushed, embarrassed. "Yeah..." He rubbed his nape.

"Does having a gash on your side mean nothing?" I asked. "Only if it means you'll give me this much attention." He smirked. "By giving me a heart attack?" I raised an eyebrow as I helped him up and he snickered.

I suddenly heard a scream behind me, and I quickly turned around to see a woman screaming at the sight of Skylor. "Serpentine!" The lady screamed as everyone ran away in fear.

"I wish I still had the power to change." Skylor sighed. "You have changed. You're with us now." Kai comforted her, and she smiled.

"If we're the first ones they've seen, where's Chen and why hasn't he attacked?" Dad asked, and I was just as confused. "Yeah, something seems off..." I added.

"We have to get you and my father off the streets before we alarm everyone." Lloyd told Skylor and Dad. "Everyone else, stick together and watch over the people." Lloyd advised the rest of us, and I nodded.

3rd Person POV:

Meanwhile, Chen had already noticed the spell was starting to wear off.

"Why is the spell wearing off? If we attack now and turn back to normal, everything will be for nothing!" Chen scolded Kapau and Chope.

"Eh, about that...uh, we read everything on page 149, but lo and behold, the spell continues onto the next page." Chope spoke nervously as Kapau nodded.

"You slithering klutzes! What have I told you about attention to details? I knew I should've had Clouse read the spell." Chen started before reading in the spellbook. ""In order for the transformation to become permanent, one must obtain the essence of a true Anacondrai." Where are we supposed to get that? There aren't any real Anacondrai left!" Chen yelled.

"How about the girl who can shapeshift into any animal?" Chope recommended.

"No you fool! She's not a real Anacondrai! She's a stupid little elemental master that Clouse got too obsessive over!" Chen lectured.

"But sir, thanks to research, it turns out when she shapeshifts, her genes change too. Therefore, if she shapeshifts into an Anacondrai-" Kapau was cut off.

"Then she becomes a true Anacondrai! Yes! Do everything you can to get her." Chen declared as Kapau and Chope immediately left.

Zugu approached Chen. "There's another problem, Master. The ninja and their friends have arrived."
