Nyla's POV:
After the battle, we went back to our lives. The ninja and I were living back on the Bounty, and Cole and I may have started dating, though we're still having to talk to Lloyd to get him to trust us.
But one thing that was eating me up was the letter from Jax. The one I opened before the Tournament.
And so, Cole and I are back in Hyrule with Link, ready to figure things out.
"Wait, so you're telling me Aurora's alive?" Link looked confused as I nodded. "But how? You saw her dead body after the explosion."
"I'm not sure. But Jax left me information, and that's why were back here." We were outside a warehouse far from Hyrule City. This was the place I'd been tortured for majority of my life.
Cole kicked down the door as we made our way inside, and I was hit with the familiarity of the place, but not in good ways.
I saw a single cage, still and hanging from the ceiling. The infamous cage I basically lived in. I approached it, looking at it.
"So this is it? You were tortured in this cage?" Cole asked, and I nodded. "Pretty crazy to see, right?" I asked, looking back at him.
Cole looked worried for me, but for once I didn't feel sad about my past. I felt glad for it, because it led me to where I am now.
"Come on. We need to head to that office." I pointed to a window in the building that was overlooking everything in the warehouse.
We walked, the scurrying of rats, water leakage, and our footsteps being the only sound in the building. I reached the office, opening the door, seeing a neat pile on the desk immediately. I approached it, my eyes wandering to a picture of Morgana with her two boys.
There were drawings on the wall from her eldest son who'd passed away years ago from an illness, and the nameplate reading 'Morgan Fox'. I remembered the fact that Morgana was my nickname for her. I'd been so used to calling her Morgana that I had forgotten her real name.
My eyes made it back to the neat pile, and I saw a map, address, and even photos of Aurora. My eyes widened at the photos. She really was alive.
I looked at the little paper with the address. She was living on the border of Ninjago and Hyrule. It seemed there was a small neutral village there.
"Guys.. Looks like we're heading back in the direction of Ninjago." I showed Cole and Link the address and map.
"Unfortunately I cannot follow you there. I have to return back to my duties in Hyrule, but I wish you and Cole the best of luck." Link spoke, and I nodded. "Thanks for joining us this far." I smiled softly as I gave Link a farewell hug and watched him leave.
Cole and I continued to look at the pile, but the rest was just photos. We were about to leave when something caught my eye. "Cole? Wait for me a second, please?"
Cole nodded. "I'll be outside." I watched as Cole left and I went into the room next to the office. It was a bedroom, clean and tidy with the exception of the bookshelf in the corner that was terribly unorganized.
I looked around, my eyes landing on a journal. I opened it to the latest entry.
"08/07
It's been a while since I've been here. I was trying to kill the very girl my mother tortured for years, but instead fell in love with her. It's hard to explain why or how, I just did.
