Lorie's POV
"Awe, aren't you a sweetheart," I stated and I put my hand over my heart. "Maybe you will get a little gift for your birthday."
"Little?" Kelly asked. I looked at him. "It's better than nothing."
"Lorie," Will walked in.
"He found me," I sighed. Most of 51 stepped in between us. "How'd you find me?"
"Is it true?" Will asked.
"We haven't spoken in over two years, so I'm going so need you to elaborate on that," I looked at him. "I have no idea what you're talking about."
"Are you dating Kelly Severide?" Will asked.
"What?" Kelly asked.
"Why does it matter?" I asked. "You don't need to worry about me."
"I suggest you leave my firehouse," Boden. stated. Will looked at me with sorrowful eyes before leaving. Everyone relaxed. "Are you okay, Lorelai?"
"Yes, chief," I nodded. He went back to his office. "I haven't told anyone I got in town."
"And why did he think we're together?" Kelly asked.
"Because of the internet," Darren stated looking at his phone. "You might wanna see this."
"It's always the media," I signed as I got out my phone. It was a video of me running up to Kelly and hugging him as he spun me around. "It's taken out of context is what it is. Damn paparazzi." I pulled up my dad's contact. "Let me call my manager and see what we can do to get in front of this."
"Okay," Sylvie stated. My phone beeped. "I bet that's him now."
"Yeah," I looked at my phone and it was a message from Jay. "Come on"
💙J💙: Call me when you can
"Her manager found out," Sylvie pointed.
"Yeah," I nodded. I walked into the conference room and called Dad. I put him on speaker as I started pacing. "Pick up."
"Hey, sweetie," Dad stated.
"You're my manager and agent and my wise father," I stated. "Have you seen what they're saying about me?"
"Yeah," Dad sighed. "Lorie's New Flame? It sounds fitting."
"Not helping, Dad," I stated. "What do I do to get in front of this?"
"Do a live video," Dad replied. "State that you and him aren't together."
"Okay, thanks," I sighed and hung up. I decided to broadcast live from 51. I hit the record button. Before I knew it, I had thousands of viewers. "So, I know there's a video of me and a fireman going around. Rumors are not true." I held the camera on me. I went to the kitchen. "This firehouse is my family and this is Kelly Severide."
"Hi?" Kelly questioned.
"My manager said to set the truth," I nodded.
"Yeah, Lorie and I are not in a relatonship. She's just one of my best friends," Kelly explained. "It's always nice having her around."
"Maybe if she comes around more often, we'd be fine," Joe sighed. "But no. She rather stay in Turner where we have to drive a couple hours if we want to see her."
