Lorie's POV

A couple hours went by, and nothing was changing. "Jay, I need you to take me to Med," I sighed.

"Are you okay?" Jay asked.

"I'm still feeling sick," I nodded.

"Okay," Jay sighed. He drove me to Med. We walked inside. "Maggie, she's not feeling to well."

"She looks fine," Maggie pointed.

"I'm holding all her weight and she's putting on a good act," Jay stated.

"Okay, treatment 4," Maggie pointed. "Dr. Mann —"

"No," I stated as Jay walked me to the room. "Someone else."

"Dr. Sexton," Maggie stated.

"Hey, Lorie," Noah walked in putting on gloves. "Wanna tell me what's wrong? You're usually on the other end of this conversation as a bystander."

"We just got back from the Bahamas," Jay stated. "She's feeling sick. She's queasy, has a headache." I looked at him. "Fatigued."

"Hey," April walked in. "What's going on?"

"If I knew, I wouldn't be here," I sighed. "Just do the full work-up."

"Alright," Noah nodded. "We'll send you for tests and then we'll see what's going on."

"Thank you," I stated. An hour and a half passed. Jay had passed out in the chair, holding my hand. Will walked in and i discreetly let go. "Uhm, I thought Noah was my doctor."

"He is," Will nodded. "I just wanted to see how you were doing."

"I'm fine now," I sighed. "It was probably just exhaustion from the trip."

"Okay," Will replied.

"Yeah," I stated as Will left. Jay woke back up and held my hand. "Hey, sleepy."

"Have you gotten your results yet?" Jay asked.

"Okay," Noah walked in. "All your tests were either negative or clear."

"So, you don't know what's wrong?" Jay asked.

"All tests, but one," Noah looked at his tablet. "It's not a bad thing."

"Just spit it out," I stated.

"You're pregnant," Noah replied.
"What? How far along?" I asked.

"At least four weeks," Noah stated. "Uhm, I would advise that you get a hold of your child's father. I'm gonna go get your discharge paperwork."

"Thanks," I nodded. Noah left the room and I looked at Jay. "Say something, Jay."

"I'm not leaving you," Jay looked at me. "We'll figure this out."

"We were planning on telling everyone that we're together, but I don't wanna do it if I'm pregnant," I looked at Jay. He had a hint of hurt in his eyes. "I don't want people to think I got with you because of the baby."

"Who cares what people think," Jay nodded.

"I just hope the baby's okay. I did have a drink or two on Severide's birthday," I sighed. Seven and a half weeks passed. I kept the pregnancy hidden. I was going to keep it hidden till I couldn't anymore. We just had dinner with my dad. "Dad, Jay and I have something to share with you."

"You're finally tying the knot," Dad smiled.

"Maybe one day," I sighed. "But Jay and I are having a baby."

"I'm going to be a grandpa?" Dad asked.

"Yeah," I smiled.

"Congratulations," Dad nodded. "How far along are you?"
