A long time ago, there existed a race that had been favored by the Gods and blessed by the mana.
Though they had helped humans outside of their homeland, they had been feared and called Devils because of their incredible power, and had been hunted to obtain it for themselves.
One day, an elf had saved the life of a human---Not just anyone, it had been the Princess of Clover, one by the name of Teita.
Her brothers, King Zeid and Prince Lemiel had seen this as an opportunity to make peace with the elves and form a peace treaty between them.
The progress had been slow, but King Zeid alongside his wife, the young elf Alma, Chief of the Warriors Guild had created the first village where Elves and Humans could coexist peacefully.
With the birth of their only child, the first human-elf hybrid, Princess Prism Aurora Clover and the marriage of Teita and her savoir, the leader of the Elves Licht, they had been just a step away from completing the treaty.
But on that day, young Princess Prism had vanished in a storm, and on the same day all of the elves had as well.
Five hundred years passed until three villagers discovered her in the Wandering Mist---These Villagers were Asta, Yuno and Feodora.
And though each had their own sets of goals, their ideals remain clear and the same. Their hope and mission is to protect everyone and everything precious to them, whether they be a commoner or a royal.

Yami didn't leave Prism's side, not even for a second.
Even when she had been practically submerged in the waters to clean her wounds he didn't leave her. He hadn't left even after Eryl had to remove the clothes on her back so that he could thoroughly look at the damage done.
Eryl made sure every wound had been cleaned in the warm waters as Prism kept letting out pained breaths, which made Yami flinch each time he heard the poor girl.
It hadn't been long before he noticed he had been preparing some surgical tools and a bottle of liquid, sitting next to an empty needle.
"What are you doing?" Yami asked.
"Preparing for surgery." Eryl replied as he tapped the scalpel, "With the way this is going, I'm going to have to amputate."
"What?!" Yami said as he stood up in shock.
"Yami---The poor girl has frostbite." Eryl explained, "If we leave it the way it is, she'll die from that alone."
Yami soon approached Eryl, a dark aura loomed over him, "And you think that's an option?"
"I'm afraid it's the only option." Eryl reasoned, "This is a matter of life and death. Sometimes sacrifices are necessary."
"There has to be a different way than this!" He argued.
"With all due respect, you asked me to save her--" Eryl said as he filled the syringe, "---And that's exactly what I'm doing. I know you don't take back your word, so— Let me do this for the young heir."
Yami had been taken aback by this until they both heard a pained moan. From the voice alone, he knew who it had belonged to.
"Prism!" Yami exclaimed as he was over at her side, as she sat in the wooden tub; though she appeared to be twitching and moving as she cried from agony.
