Page 33: A Tale of Two Fickle People

-Ideale Paradise; Libra Cabin (Three Days Remaining)-

    The preparations were going smoothly as many people of the Village had been able to fortify their homes and businesses. Many of the people stayed up late at night to finalize everything and double check their protection. Even the Bed and Breakfast looked like that of a fortress.

    A couple of young girls had been enjoying their time together. That had been Aoife, Alys, and Noelle, visiting a bedridden Prism.

    Though the girls were laughing.

    "I can't believe Plucky didn't realize he turned into a duck!" Aoife said.

    "And that Addeline fell for him!" Alys added.

    "It did happen." Noelle said as she chuckled.

    "Plu-Plu was always a bit of a scatter brain." Prism was able to sign.

    "And I bet you were cute as a fox!" Aoife said as she nudged Prism gently, "I bet you were a cute little pup!"

    "I wish I could tell you, but---I don't remember much about it." Prism signed.

    "Noelle, you must feel pretty lucky!" Alys said, "I mean, you're on the best Magic Knight squad there is!"

    Noelle flinched as she said "W-well... It wasn't exactly by choice."

    "What are you talking about, its the best thing that could've happened!" Aoife said.

    "Yeah, Auntie Carol always told us that Yami only picks people he likes!" Alys said.

    Noelle turned her head with an expression as she asked. "O-oh. is that so?"

    She soon felt Prism tap her shoulder before signing, "For what it's worth Noelle, I'm glad you're still with us."

    Noelle couldn't help but smile a little at this, "Thank you. I'm glad I decided to stick around too."

    "WHAT ARE YOU YOU ALL DOING?!"

    The girls flicnhed when they saw Pluck towering them with a look---Right outside the window. The girls couldn't help but shriek.

    "Uh oh--Plucky's mad.." Aoife said

    "You think he heard the scatterbrain comment?" Alys asked

    "WHAT ARE YOU DOING, BARBADADORK!?" Noelle shouted before she held up her wand, "GET OUT!"

    Pluck shrieked as he felt himself get hit by a geyser of water causing the window to swing open. He crash landed right in the pig pen causing most of them to squeal in surprise.

    Alys and Aoife immediately ran to the window. "You okay Plucky?!" Aoife asked.

    Pluck got up with his grimoire despite having his face and clothes in the mud before exiting out of the pig pen through the now broken fence.

    "Uh-oh.." Alys said

    He got out what appeared to be his Gum-Gum Stickler as he hurled it at Noelle's face as she shrieked  while geting up trying to get the gum off her face while running around. Of course, this was cut short in a literal sense when something cut the gum in two as it pushed Pluck back and Noelle crashed into the door, startling them, Prism especially as she couldn't help but pull the covers.

    "AH! NOELLE!" Alys exclaimed.

    "Are you okay!?" Aoife asked helping Noelle up.

    "Hey, who the heck did---Oh jukette--" Pluck said before losing his color when he realized...
