Drifting...
That's what it felt like to her...
It hadn't been like floating on a cloud, or like how one would float in water. She had been drifting underneath. Almost as though she had been sinking.
She slipped further and further away.
The only thing that seemed to keep her from going further into the abyss...
... Had been someone calling out to her. Someone she found... Familiar.
"Prism!...Prism...!" She could hear him cry. Her body seemed to rise from the depths of the dark abyss from the sound alone.
Almost as if the voice encouraged her to fight, and get above the dark abyss.
... And so she did.
She clawed herself out of the dark abyss until she reached for a light where she was met with a new sight so to speak.
Every now and again as her vision faded it seemed like she had been in a different location. She could even feel her body surrounded with warmth as she seemed to have been submerged in water, where someone had tended to her.
Then she could feel something soft, giving her that familiar cloud-like feeling. She could hear voices---All which had sounded kind, like they had been telling her a story, which gave her comfort.
She found herself following towards it until she had been blinded by a light and a voice had become clear.
"... Pretty Lady?"
Prism's vision cleared up as blinked, letting out a groan as she did. The first she saw had been Theodore who jumped back at the sight.
"She opened her eyes--!" Theodore said softly before he ran from the bed and out the room and swung the door open despite his size, "--GORILLA! GORILLA! COME QUICK! SHE WOKE UP!"
Prism managed to sit herself up, with effort, as she felt agony go through her like a virus. From her head to her legs it had all been pins and needles for her as she moaned with agony. She looked at the state of body, noticing half of her face had been covered with bandages. Her leg had been casted as she couldn't move it when she tried.
She felt her throat noticing it had been wrapped, and it hurt when she tried to speak. Then finally... She saw half of her arm had been gone as she took the empty half of her sleeve. She... Looked frightened as she started to shorten her breaths. Though the Spirits gathered around her in an attempt to calm her down.
"... What is this place?! It's not the capital! What in the world happened?!"
"Prism?"
Prism flinched as her shortened breaths stopped. She looked to the door, and saw Yami had been standing there, lacking his Black Bulls Robe while Nero sat on his shoulder.
Relief washed over her face, as did his.
"... Y...a...m...i...?" She managed to say despite how much her throat burned.
"Prism!" Yami exclaimed.
The next thing she knew, Yami's arms entrapped her in a hug. She could feel his arms shake, she could almost swear he had been crying.
"Damn it, kid. You had me worry too much, you know that?" Yami said as he held her, "I really thought you wouldn't wake up."
Prism couldn't hold back her own tears as she returned the embrace despite her one arm. "Y--a---" She started to say before she started to cough a little as her throat burned again.
