Summary: There are weird noises from the forest, and Tubbo knows something is seriously wrong.

---

Tubbo left the library and made his way back home through the dark, mystical forest. It was almost as if the forest was alive, and Tubbo had to be careful not to make any noise that would give away his presence. The leaves were turning a beautiful red and gold, and the air was crisp and cool. Tubbo felt a sense of peace in the forest, and he was sad to leave it behind when he finally arrived back in his hometown.
Tubbo decided not to go home just yet. He was feeling restless and wanted to clear his head. Instead, he headed to his favorite bar, where he knew he would find his friends. As he walked through the door, he was enveloped in the familiar sights and sounds of the bar.
Just as he opens the door he spots a few of his friends "Hey tubs" Tommy calls for him while pointing with an open hand on the chair between himself and Niki. "Hey guys, so how's it going?" "Pretty good, we were talking about stuff and all, hey, Niki, have you already told him about your new cat?" Niki looks up from her drink. She brought some hot chocolate from home, and looks at Tubbo while shaking her head "No, actually, so Tubbo, I'll get a new kitten soon, and I wanted to invite some of my friends over to help me prepare everything for when she comes" He nods understanding "Hey, have you already heard the news, Tubbo?" "what news?" Ranboo asks him polite as he is, and Tubbo looks at him with that one annoyed look "Well, lately some people have heard weird noises in the forest. The police was called, but hasn't found anything yet." Tubbo looks confused at him and then Tommy who also looks between him an Ranboo. "Well, I was at the old Library, y'know, the one in the middle of the forest. Though, I didn't hear anything." Ranboo and Niki share some worried looks. "well, there's probably nothing to worry about, I mean, the police is already involved. But please be careful when you hunt, okay? Atleast my schedule is to crowded to fit in a sudden funeral." Tommy joked. Tubbo fakes a laugh, but he was a little to worried now to actually find it funny " Tubbo, you seem very tired" Niki says while looking at his eyes, he probably seems like he didnt sleep for a whole month "I think you should go home and get some rest." Tubbo yawned "I guess, it's pretty late too I suppose. So uhh, see you soon?" Ranboo and Tommy wave in sync, while Niki nods, putting her focus back on her drink. Tubbo yawns one more time for dramatic measures and leaves the bar, the door closing behind him with a 'ding'. The streets were now mostly empty, as it was getting late. A few people were still outside, but they weren't really paying attention to him. The sunset was beautiful, and the red light shone through the streets, making everything look hazy.

Tubbo takes out the keys to his apartment and unlocks the door, yawning again as he enters. He flicks on the light switch, and is enveloped in the familiar sights and sounds of his home. He walks over to his bed and collapses onto it, not even bothering to take off his shoes. He falls asleep almost instantly, and has a dream about the forest, specifically, of what might be in it. In the dream, he's hunting a large animal and is getting closer and closer to it. Suddenly, the animal charges at him and he's forced to defend himself. Though he's successful, he's injured and the animal escapes. Tubbo wakes up with a start and looks around the room, trying to remember what the dream was about. He's never been good at remembering his dreams, but he remembers clearly that the animal was big and he was fighting it. The fear is so deep there, something he quite feels is real danger, lurking in the forest, he knows it like the back of his hand, something isnt normal, and he has to find out what it is. He gets up and decides he needs to go for a walk. He heads down the street towards the forest.

He wasnt bothered to take his coat, but his shoes are on his feet, carrying him through the dark streets. At this hour, only the moon lights the cold air, and it freezes him a bit. The only things he carried were a flashlight and a pocket knife, but the town was lit enough to see, the forest would be a whole other story. Walking through the town he soon finds himself to the exit, the one where the forest followed. It used to be so pretty, he's seen the pictures, but now it's just a wodden sign with a few planks hanging off it, the candles have burned, the wax hanging below or on the stone bottom. It's unreadable, but he knows that it reads the name of the forest, which is now long forgotten, even ripped off on pictures, or drawn over, as if someone decided that the forest doesnt deserve its name. You cant find it on the internet either, its seen on maps, but thats it. It's like just a place forgotten from the world. Tubbo shakes his head and walks past the sign, past the few houses, until more and more trees come to his view, and the stone path turns to dirt, and then to grass. The streets were forgotten since past the sign just like the forest itself did, including everything inside of it.

Walking further and further, until the shadows surround him, and the already dark forest now so deep dark that no human being could ever walk through it without another light source. A sigh escapes his lips, and he turns one last time around, looking back at the last house visible that could be called part of his town, before he finally takes the steps inside, knowing that the dangers inside are just as unknown as the rest of the forest, but not only to others, but now him too, and anything could be in it, just lead by his heart, he follows the last strands of light.
