Summary: Final chapter, with Tubbo's reunion back at home, and his friends by his side, back in the library.
---
I sit down on one of the tall, broken windows, looking outside. This is the place it started, wasn't it? I have a thermo with me, filled with hot chocolates. I take a sip, breathing in the scent of cacao. It's been about two weeks since I came back, and I think, I'm slowly starting to recover from all of it, even though there's a long way until the wounds show signs of healing. I close my eyes, remembering the day.
I woke up at home, in my bedroom. It all was like it used to be, but the face in the mirror proves that the journey did indeed happen. I went out, I didn't care for how I looked in the moment, and I went straight to the bar, where I saw Tommy and Ranboo. Tommy spotted me immediatly and ran over to tackle me in a hug, Ranboo came also, but slower. Tommy had tears in his eyes. He asked me over and over where I've been, but I couldn't even open my mouth because he was squeezing me so tight. Ranboo also gave me a hug, but didn't squeeze as much, and asked me questions like, 'are you alright' and 'do you need an ambulance'.
I soon found out that I've been missing for about a week. My friends tried calling me, and coming over, but there were no signs of me. They tried calling the police, but they didn't find anything either. I know I was gone for way longer, but Dr Wynstor said time moves differently in the worlds.
I wanted to tell them the real story, but honestly, they wouldn't really believe me, so I told them that I was visiting family and forgot my phone. Due to how I looked, and my scars, they ofcourse didn't believe me. Tommy tried pushing for the truth, but Ranboo said that I just needed time, and that I wouldn't tell them the story until I was ready.
So, one by one, I went to each of my friends, and apologized for making them worry. They didn't care for that, all they cared about that I was safe and sound.
Now, I sit back in the old library, with my drink on the table, spinning the feather in my hands. Maybe one day, I'll tell them about what really happened, in the hopes that they don't call me crazy. It took so long to get used to the other world, that it feels new to be back here. Honestly speaking, I think I've been there for atleast a couple months. I still need time to adjust here. I've been thinking alot about the world, and how everything happened there. I'm pretty sure I truly won't ever see it again, but it's part of my life now.
As I sit calmly there, I hear creaking noises from the entrance. I stood up and walked towards the noise, and saw two people standing there. "Ranboo? Tommy? What are you guys doing here?" I ask, starring at them both. "Well... you always used to talk about how you would like to renovate the library-" "so we came to help!" Tommy interupted Ranboo. Tommy walks outside and came back with a box filled with tools. "That's really alot, it's a big library you know? You really don't need to help me-" "no buts, beeboy!" Tommy said again. "let's see where we should start first!" enthusiastic, he walks straight through the building. "maybe we should firstly start with the books, see which ones are fine, and which are definetly not rea-" A loud crash interupted Ranboo yet again, they probably won't ever get to finish a sentence. Me and Ranboo look where the sound came from, and find Tommy standing next to a broken shelf that had probably fallen over. "what happened?" I asked worried. "ah, I don't really know. But look at what I found!" Tommy said really excited. "I'll just start with the books at the front..." "nono, look at this!" Tommy pulled Ranboo by the shirt and shoved him back. He then holds up a small book, a redish color, but very dirty, surprisingly it seemed still readable. "what about it? It's a book, in a library." I asked him.
"This one, it's not old! Maybe just a couple months or something!" Tommy said, opening a random page and pointing at it, to symbolise that it's fine. I look closer at it, trying to read the page, now also catched up in it, but I couldn't read the symbols, they seemed very weird, and I couldn't recognize them. "what does it say?" I ask tommy, who also looks very puzzled "I don't know, but atleast the titel is written in english!" he said, closing the book and holding it close to his eyes, also having problems reading it due to it's dirty cover "wait, I think I got it!" Tommy smiled.
