Accelerator only ended up realizing his mistake he'd been blinded to when Touma delivered his final strike. The reaction Accelerator got from it is similar to that of a near death experience where your brain recalls every single one of its memories to try and find out a way to survive, if not, escape the problem they've found themselves in, which is basically as if your life flashes before your very eyes. Accelerator got spooked so much he thought he was gonna die.

This is also exactly where Accelerator got reminded of his initial reasons to join the project, which is to never hurt anyone anymore. To take that away from him is basically taking away the last piece of humanity he's got in him. But a promise is a promise, so...

By the way, this one is really rushed. I mean, really, REALLY rushed. It took me less than 20 minutes to write, surprisingly. I've been putting too much effort on the other one because it's just too damn good of an idea.

It got cancelled.

2 years worth of work, the amount of energy and time wasted, the sheer will to even attend the experiments... all gone in the breeze.

Because of simple unknown variables within the equations. The Level 0's sudden appearance ruined everything. Not only was the project that was halfway down got canceled, they also clowned him for being nearly defeated by said Level 0.

At least they all got quiet the moment he turned them all into red paints...

It took him a few days to dig for some information about the Level 0. Found out of his identity, the school he attended and where he lived. But most importantly, the hospital he rests in.

The albino plans on neutering the guy first before giving him a painful death tomorrow. But for now, he wishes to enjoy what might as well be his last quiet evening. According to the Kiharas, he needs to undergo some modifications. To make use of the rest of the sisters once more and help him achieve Level 6 by other means. The albino wonders why they didn't just use this method back then...

An hour away from District 19, he got confronted by a few cocky Level 0s. Nothing new, just as usual. The only difference being is that he is still sour about the project's cancellation, and he felt like venting some excess anger.

Like some of the scientists from this morning, he sends the Level 0s into a painful ride to hell. Not a part of their figure was solid, all turned into a massive volume of damp chunks of flesh. Yet not even that is enough.

Later on the way home he was met with another SISTER. This time it's the Control Tower. Clad in nothing but a piece of cloth, being completely nude underneath. Unlike the other clones, she was capable of expressing and feeling emotions. Not only that, she was waaaaaaaay younger than her sisters, at least physically.

There was no end of supplies on what and where to inflict pain in his mind towards the little clone. But would he stoop so low as to hurt helpless children? But aren't her sisters also helpless against him, they never once stood a chance against him, didn't they? He didn't know what to think of this anymore and ended up sending her back to the Kiharas, hoping that she at least is of any use to the next project he might take part in.

And for the next month, he kept a low profile, waiting for the call from the Kiharas regarding the next Level 6 project. But he never gets to see himself reaching that Level of power.

At the start of September, a catastrophic event took place. A massive tree had spurt from the deep earth, taking a strange form made entirely of flesh.

And then the next thing he knew, the world withers, and a bright flash of white engulfed all of Academy City.

Substances of unknown value and components filled his mind, bypassing his impenetrable barrier, turning the Greatest Esper of All Time into ash.

Not even he survived it.
