"This place reeks of booze and weed now." I pinch my nose.

"It may be cuz your sitin next to me." The very drunk Lillian murmured.

"Maybe," I chuckled softly.

"Didn't we smoke together earlier?"

"Uh, Ion know for real."

"I had fun being your costume buddy." Lillian gave a derpy smile.

"Same here, Lilli. Where's Cam at?"

"I think he went upstairs with Aaron?" Lillian said slowly.

"It's past 12, and we should get to bed." I groan.

"Where's Malik?" Lillian mumbled.

"He's in the kitchen—Malik!" I shouted.

"Yea, Mateo?"

"Can you put Lilli in a guest bedroom? She's really drunk." I asked.

"Yea c'mon Lilli." He picked Lillian bridal style and carried her upstairs.

"I'll be in your room, Malik."

I got into his room and turned on his led lights. I took off my black air forces, which are the most uncomfortable shoes on the planet.

"Hey Mateo," Malik came in and laid beside me.

"This party was tiring." I murmured, sitting up to lay on top of him.

"Yea, it was. Do you want some more comfortable clothes?"

"Yea, if you don't mind."

Malik got up and grabbed some sweat pants and a pair of boxers for me. "Here"

"Can you get the zipper?"

"Yea." He undid the zipper.

"Where'd Debs go?" I started to change.

"I think she left with someone, I don't know."

"Vivian?"

"Who?"

"Debs has talked about Vivian multiple times. Do you not listen?" I asked.

"Not really, I really like staring at your pretty face."

"You're so sweet." I went and cuddled up next to him. "I love you."

Malik just went quiet.

Is he not gonna say it back? He's said it before.

"Malik?"

"Yea, Mateo?"

"Are you not gonna say it back?"

"I.. um."

"You don't love me." I sat up.

"Wait, Mateo, it's.. complicated."

"How is it complicated? You either love me or you don't."

He again stayed quiet.

"So you don't love me?" Tears started to fill my eyes.

"Mateo, it's complicated."

"How!? Can you just not say it to me?"

"I don't know how to explain it to you, Mateo."

"You've told me you loved me before." I said. "Why can't you say it now?"

"Mateo, I..I just can't."

"Can't what? Tell me you love me? Or, you can't love me?"

"Mateo, can we not do this right now?"

"Malik, answer my question."

"Mateo."

"Malik! Answer the damn question!"

"Mateo, don't act like a bitch right now." He said, sternly.

"I'm a bitch? Vete a la mierda me voy." I said, grabbing my things to leave.

"Mateo, I didn't mean it like that, and you know that."

"¡No, Malik, no sé a qué te refieres!"

"I don't understand what the fuck you're saying!" He shouted slightly.

"¡Ese no es mi puto problema!"

"Quit cussing at me in Spanish, Mateo."

"Or what? Are you gonna hit me?"

"Mateo, you did not."

"You're clinching your fist like you wanna hit me."

"Just go home, Mateo. Can't believe you would assume I would hit you."

"Like father like son." I left and shut the door behind me.

"Fuck you!" I heard him scream from behind the door.

As I was leaving, I felt bad for the things I said. Malik would never hit me.
