Chapter 22

The dinner continued as if nothing happened, as if she was still the Brie they knew. But no, She now remembers everything.

They were eating peacefully until Jaemin spoke. "hyung we forgot, This is Brie! Brie this is Mark, our friend since High school"

I glanced at Mark and gave him a smile. A genuine smile.

"Hi, Nice to meet you." He uttered and offered his hand, I smiled and shook it, secretly Drawing a small circle on his palm before pulling away.

His eyes widen at me before clearing his throat and continue to eat, Until we are all done.

The boys were at the balcony and I was left alone in the kitchen, I volunteered on washing the dishes.

While washing the dishes, I felt a hand on my hip. I grinned as I realized who it was.

He gave me a peck on the neck and sighed "Haechan's been begging me to buy some beer."

"oh, Then you should go"

"You don't want to come? Jaemin and Renjun are going out to buy Watermelon for Mark, Chenle and Jisung went to get a ball at Chenle's place. Haechan's coming with me."

More reasons for me to stay behind

"I'll stay with Mark I guess."

Jeno raised a brow at me. I beamed him a smile before pulling him upstairs. "what's with the look, Jeno?"

"You're actually staying here with Mark Alone?"

"Oh please, what's wrong with that?"

He pulled his hand away from me  and turned around. I sighed and pulled him back, I pecked his lips before going back to the kitchen.

I heard his car engine slowly going away. I let out a breath and turned around to see Mark leaning by the door frame.

"Brie, Is that really you?"I grinned and pulled him in a tight hug. I chuckled when I felt his sobbing on my shoulder.

"Egg boy..." I pulled away and wipe the tears on his eyes. I pulled him out of the house.

"Haechan might have set some hidden cameras there, so lets talk here"

Mark glance at the house before raising a brow at me, as if it was telling me to spill the tea.

"Rose Gang happened, I suddenly lost contact with Ten. I was busy running away from those shit heads, I just found myself in mom's favorite spot. I was going to go back to the quarters but I lost control of the brake, which made me crash into a truck."

"that explains why your car- okay, Go on"Brie rolled her eyes and continued.

"When I woke up, I found myself in the hospital, I lost my memories. I only know my name."

"What? You what? Then how did you-"

"I lost my memories for months, And When I saw you, I remembered everything."

Mark took a deep breath before pulling Brie in a hug.

"Mark"

"Thank God you're alright! Haechan and the other should know about this, so that they'll let you-" Brie cut Mark off with a sigh, Mark's brows pinched together. "what was that supposed to mean?"

"they can't know. They can't, they are detectives Mark! We can't get involved with them"

Gangs and detective aren't really a nice combination. Detectives hunt gangs while Gangs kill some of them. They have an ill fated relationship.

Brie sighed and held Mark's shoulder
"I have to leave."

"But they wont let you, I know them."

"That's why I will be sneaking out later, with your help."

"I hate you" Mark sighed, he doesn't want to do this to his friends but he has no choice. "What's the plan?"

"I will sneak out later, you have to be ready around 2 am, I'll meet you around the Park."

"This is a bad Idea, This is a house full of detectives Brie! They'll know!"

"not all of them, Haechan and Jaemin are deep sleepers, and Renjun's out for tonight."

"and that's the most dangerous thing! You'll be left with Jeno! He'll find out."

Brie suddenly zoned out as Jeno filled her head. If she leaves, Jeno will find her definitely. If she leaves, what about Jeno. What will happen to them if she leaves.

I have to choose the gang. I made an oath.

"Brie?" I snapped out when Mark held my shoulder. I gave him a small smile before pulling him in a hug. He sighed and hugged me tighter.

"I missed you, Brie. We missed you."

"Me too, Mark."

"No wonder you wanted to stay." I pushed Mark away and turned to see Jeno standing behind me.

"Jen-"

Before she could walk to him, He walked away, She groaned in anger before glancing at Mark "Is there something between you and Jeno?"

"nothing's going on."

"then how do you explain the look on his face?"

"they're still suspecting me. They don't trust me that much."

"Haechan doesn't trust you the most right?"

I hummed, Mark chuckled and gave me a words of wisdom. He is very gullible. Easy to fool.

We both went inside and found Haechan opening the beers, he handed us a beer. Jaemin and Renjun went inside with a huge watermelon which made Mark's face lit up.

Him and his love for watermelons.

We were watching the TV until Renjun spoke "where's Jeno?"

Haechan shove his watermelon in his mouth before answering"In his room, He said his head hurts."

"suddenly?"

"hmm, I told him to get some rest."

I sighed and took Mark's watermelon and ate it. Jisung and Chenle suddenly went inside.

"lets go to the court?" Chenle asked, Their faces lit up, well aside from Mark who was looking at his precious watermelon "But the watermelons dude-"

"Me and Renjun are playing!" Haechan yelled and Pulled renjun out. Mark chuckled and took his watermelon, Jaemin who was about to Run was pulled by Jisung.

"Brie? Are you not coming with us?" Chenle inquired, I gave him a small smile "yea, Join us" Mark added.

"No thanks, I'm already tired boys. But have fun."

Brie see them out but Chenle tried to ask her one last time but the girl declined. Mark smiled at her before going to her, Pulling her in a small hug

"Leave your phone behind." She whispered.

"What?"

"I dont have a phone Mark, I need to call You later." Mark sighed and handed his phone to the girl before breaking the hug. "Be safe, ill see you later."

"Later, Egg boy" She grinned. She waved at the boys and watch them drive away. She sighed and close the door.

She went to her room and took a bath. When she was done, she went out of her room and knocked on Jeno's door.

"Jeno?"

There was no response. She sighed and started at the time. It's 11 pm. She has Three hours left before leaving.
