El woke up the next morning with no motivation whatsoever
In fact, she spent a good 30minutes staring at the celling just looking for the energy to go to school
"Maybe...I could just skip-" She stopped and sighed remembering how she promised Hop that she'd go to school
She groaned getting up and did her normal morning routine and grabbed her Wednesday outfit she set up on Saturday like usual
She remembered that on Wednesday's her and Max always coordinated outfits and took a picture like usual to send to the red head:

El smiled at there bestie language.
Then she grabbed her black and white bag and made sure to pack everything she needed.
"Did I do my homework?" She thought out loud
"Oh yea I did ok." She answered herself
She sat down at her desk and pulled out her makeup
She settled on a simple soft look and started to pack up when she noticed her bruised wrist and neck.
"Oh right, I should cover that up..." She whispered to herself allowing herself to grab the concealer and covering up all the bruises
'What if Mike wasn't there? What if Mark went too far? What if-NO I CANT THINK ABOUT THAT!' she thought
She sighed blinking back tears and grabbing her stuff and going down stairs
Down stairs
"Hey El! How are you? How'd you sleep?" She heard Joyce ask in a sweet voice
"Hey Joyce, I'm fine and I slept alright how are you?" El answered knowing well that she was lying
'God forgive me?' She thought remembering she had to go to church soon
"I'm fine, thank you for asking. Hey, do you wanna go shopping later today after school?" Joyce asked
"Of course!" El said enthusiastically
"El, why didn't you use your powers?" Will whispered as she sat down after grabbing some egos, a knife and a fork
She froze
"You know I'm not allowed to..." The brunet girl answered whispering so she wouldn't get attention on the subject from her parents
"Yea, but you had the right to. You were in danger!" He whisper shouted
"I know, jeez, I just forgot. You know I haven't used them since...well you know." She argued
"Yes bu-" Will started but got interrupted by El
"But nothing. Look, let's eat and talk about it tomorrow in the car. I'm taking my bike today." El said grabbing her bag and kissing Joyce's cheek, thanking her for breakfast and asking her to tell Hop she loves him.
"Love you Will." She yelled from the door while closing it
"I love you too, El." She heard Will barely murmur
She smiled while grabbing her helmet and getting on
After years of begging for one, Hopper got her a motorbike for her 15th birthday
She started the engine and headed to school
On her way she remembered how Mark hated when she rode to school on her bike
But, she didn't have to worry about that today
She reached school about 10 minutes later and walked to the group
"Hi..." She said quietly
"EL!!!" Her red headed bestfriend ran into her arms
"OH! MAX, calm down, sheesh." She said hugging her bestie back
"El, hi how are y- Max it's my turn to suffocate her in a hug!" Dustin yelled
El giggled at her friends and hugged Dustin
"I'm okay, how are you Dusty bun?" The brunet teased him tilting her head
Dustin rolled his eyes saying he was good
El smiled turning to the rest
"Hi Mike, Lucas and..." She said looking at the boys then a blonde girl
"Hi, I'm Angela...I was just getting this cutie's number." She said bumping Mike's shoulder
"Oh, ok nice to meet you Angela..." El said eyeing Mike, looked uncomfortable
"Um, Angela...you do know he has a girlfriend, right?" El said calmly after reading the situation
"OH, really...who?" Angela asked eyeing the brunet uncomfortably
"Oh, she's from his old school, her names Daisy, and I don't think she'd appreciate you hitting on her boyfriend..." El said calmly, really selling the story
"OH! Okay...well let me know if you two fall apart, m'kay?" Angela said turning around swinging her hair
'The nerve.' El thought giving Angela a death stare
Mike looked at El with wide eyes
"Thank you so much. That chick has been hitting on all of us. Well, except Lucas cause Max actually almost beat her up." Mike said, smiling gently at El
"No problem, I'm pretty sure 'Daisy' would hate that...yea" El said smiling back
Max giggled
"Why are you laughing?!" El asked, genuinely confused
"You...never mind, I just love you." Max said laughing
"Okay...I love you too." El said furrowing her eyebrows
"I know, obviously." She said
"Yea right." Mike said looking at Max
Max gasped about to talk back when the bell rang
El giggled waving to them and hugging Max before the red head kissed her boyfriend
El, Dustin and Mike fake gagged
"GET A ROOM!" Dustin yelled walking away
"Yea seriously!" Mike said
"Please kiss your boy toy in your own time!!!" Ely yelled blowing a kiss to her bestie who fake caught it and thru it on the ground
El gasped and faked being hurt while walking off
Max and Lucas waved them off and went to class
