*Max's POV
'WHAT HAVE I DONE!' I scream at myself mentally trying to keep up with El but she picks up her speed
I stop hyperventilating
I look in front and El is far off
I turn around walking back to school in defeat
"Did you get her?" Lucas asks coming up to me
"DOES IT LOOK LIKE I DID!?" I snap
"Okay, calm down." He tries to calm me down
It didn't help
"CALM DOWN YOU WANT ME TO CALM DOWN!? MY BEST FRIEND HAS DISAPPEARED BECAUSE OF YOU! AND DUSTIN PUSHING HER! YOU DON'T KNOW HALF OF THE THINGS SHE'S BEEN THROUGH! IF SHE DIDN'T WANT TO HAVE A PARTY DON'T FORCE HER! WHAT IF SHE RAN OFF FOREVER!? WHAT IF SHE'S LOST! WHAT IF-what if she's-" I rant punching Lucas' chest repeatedly
"DO NOT FINISH THAT SENTENCE!" Dustin growls
I cry, Lucas holding me tight
The bell rings, but we don't really care
'I wonder where Mike is?' I think after calming down a little
REWIND
*Mikes POV

"EL!" I hear Max scream and stop running
I look at her through the trees to make sure she was ok
She is, just out of breath
I turn back and keep chasing the brunet that was, surprisingly, really fast
After running for what I assume is 30 minutes she stops running
I stop too, not knowing what to do
She sits down next to a big, orange tree
'What is going on?' I wonder
She sits up in a ball and silently cries to herself
I decide to walk up to her
"Hey Elena." I say
She looks up at me with puffy eyes
My heart breaks
I sit next to her watching the leaves fall
I feel her stare at me for about 5 minutes
Until I decide it's my turn
She looks foward wiping her tears and I look at her
She missed a tear and I wiped it for her
She stared at me
I stared at her
For a nice 2 minutes of confortable silence
Then I notice her eyelids drop slowly
I scoot closer allowing her to rest her head on my shoulder as I watch the leaves fall
20 minutes later I dose off too
