celebration time

Julie's pov.
"That we're standing on the edge of great...on the edge of great..." me and Luke sing on his little stage in his new music shop. It's opening night and a lot of people plus our friends and Luke's parents came to celebrate this day. We finish singing and everybody claps. I smile at Luke and he plants a kiss on my forehead before he stands up from his seat for his speech. He nervously looks at me and I give him my -you-got-this-look.
He clears his throat before he starts speaking.
"Uhm hello everyone! My name is Luke Patterson as some of you may already know. This beautiful woman next to me is my wonderful wife Julie." He gives me a proud smile and i smile back trying to to cry.
"It's amazing to have you all here celebrating one of my biggest dreams. Since i was a little child i always wanted a music shop with a little stage and a lot of music instruments. I'm glad to say that it worked out and my dream came true. I want to also say a big thank you to my parents who supported me through this all and of course my Julie and my friends. I wouldn't be standing here without them. Now let's continue this celebration! Please feel free to eat some cake and snacks. Thank you" he finishes and again everyone claps. I stand up to pull him in a big hug.
"You did so good" I whisper in his hear and he chuckles before he takes my hand and we walk down the stage.
Reggie and Flynn hug Luke tight.
Sadly Alex and Willie can't be here today. They are traveling the world right now. Today Alex messaged me a photo with him and Willie sunbathing on a beach in Colombia! I'm happy for them even tho we miss them very much.
Aiden pulls his arms out to me so I take him from Reggies arms in mine. He giggles as I kiss his cute nose.
"Uh someone is a stinky boyyy" I laugh and Flynn rolls her eyes.
"He poops so much i start to get worried" she says and wants to take Aiden but he doesn't want to go back to mommy.
"I can change him Flynn" I take her diaper bag and pull it over my other free shoulder.
"Thank you Jules"
I walk through the people trying to reach the restrooms. So many people here god it's amazing!
Suddenly someone grabs my arm and I turn my head.
"Hey"
It's nick?
"Oh hey Nick!" I haven't seen him since we graduated high school. He hasn't changed a bit. Just looks a little more older.
"How are you?" He asks with a drink in his hand.
"Oh I'm good" I say and try to get Aiden to let go off my hair.
"You?" I ask and he smiles at me.
"I'm good too"
"Great" I say.
"Is this your-" he points at Aiden.
"Oh no! This is my nephew" I say with a smile.
"Flynns son" I explain as he looks confused.
"Ah wow! I didn't know, but now I can definitely see Flynns eyes in him" he chuckles and I nod.
"Well I'll see you later" i say and walk to the restrooms.

"I almost threw up" I say as I give Aiden back to Flynn.
"Really? So bad?" She chuckles.
"Yes but you know" I roll my eyes and she nods with a smile. Flynn is still the only one who knows that I'm pregnant. Me and Luke want to tell our parents in a few weeks.
"You know who i saw? Nick" I tell her and she gasps.
"Nick? I haven't seen him in ages" she says and tickles Aiden.
"Yes we didn't talk for long" I explain and look up at Luke who pulls an arm around my shoulders.
"You alright? You look pale" he kisses my cheek and i nod.
"I changed Aidens diaper and almost threw up on him" I explain and Luke chuckles.
"Oh gosh when will this be over?" He says and Flynn laughs.
"I know how you feel Jules" she says and I giggle. She really does.

Luke's pov.
It's almost midnight and still a few people are here drinking and eating snacks while listening to music. My parents and Reggie and Flynn went home a few hours ago. I stand with a few people they talk about instruments and singing. Where even is Julie? I look around and find her asleep on the comfy bench next to a big bookshelf that is full with instruments books and other music stuff so people can also buy books here. I smile as I see her laying there sleeping so peacefully. I excuse myself and walk in the back to grab a blanket for Julie. I cover her with it and walk back to a group of teenagers who want to buy a guitar here.

I shut off all the lights and kneel down next to still deep asleep Julie. I brush over her cheek with my hand and she opens her eyes.
"I'm sorry babe but we can leave now" I smile and she sits up and looks around.
"How late is it?" She asks.
"2am" I explain and she nods.
"Come on let's go home in bed" I take her hand.
"I'm so proud of you Patterson" she kisses me and I smile.
"I love you Jules"
