start of something new

4 months later.

Julie's pov.
I walk downstairs and in the kitchen where Luke is playing on his guitar. Why in the kitchen? I have no clue but he always plays in the weirdest places to find "creativity". One time he played sitting on the bathroom floor and he wrote an amazing song, so i guess it's really helping his creativity.
"Well good lunch beautiful" he chuckles and I yawn.
"It's only 11:30" I explain and sit down on a bar chair.
"Only? Girl! You usually sleep until 7am" he puts his guitar on the table and walks to give me a kiss.
"I'am just so tired Luke" I explain and he shakes his head with a smile.
I've been feeling kinda off lately. Not mentally but physically. I'm probably just a little stressed with work or something. Even my period is late but that happens sometimes when I'm super stressed like now.
"Wanna go out for lunch?" Luke asks and gives me a cup of coffee.
"Thanks. Uhm yeah sure why not" I say and he smiles.

We wait for our food to arrive while we talk and laugh so much today.
I yawn over and over again until i lean my head on Luke's shoulder. I feel his hand hold mine and I open my eyes again.
"You alright babe?" He asks and I slowly nod.
"I'm tired" I whisper.
"How?" He chuckles and I giggle too.
"I have no idea. Maybe weather changes or something" I explain since I've always been pretty sensitive for the weather. In this moment our pizzas arrive and i feel way more awake instantly.

Luke's pov.
We ate,drove home and watched a movie. Or basically i did because Julie fell asleep 10min into the movie. I now carefully brush through her hair with my fingers and watch her sleep. She is beautiful sooooo freaking beautiful. And I'am just so glad that she is feeling better now. She still is sad and angry at everything that is not going to want to happen right now, but we talk a lot and just try to stay positive. It's been 4 months since our fight and we slowly start to loose a little hope. Or i do but i don't tell her that. We've been trying for over a year now and it's frustrating for both of us. I stop brushing through her hair when she starts to move.
"Ugh" she groans and I look at her beautiful eyes.
"How long did I sleep?" She sits up and look so tired with her messy hair and puffy eyes. She is still so beautiful though.
"About 2 hours" I explain and kiss her cheek. She puts her hand on her forehead.
"Ugh now my head hurts" she sighs.
"I think you are getting sick" I explain and she nods.
"Maybe. My kids in school are all sick now with the flu" she whispers and lays back again.
"Do you need a headache medicine?" I ask but she shakes her head and I lay down next to her until she falls asleep again.

Julie's pov.
I lean my head to rest on the toilet and sigh. Well great I'm officially sick. I threw up 5 times in the past hour. It's only 5am and Luke isn't up yet. And I don't want to wake him up.
I massage my hurting forehead and vomit again. Suddenly i feel hands rubbing my back. I know it's Luke. I woke him up with my gagging. Great.
"It's okay sweetie" he whispers and holds back my hair. After i finish Luke gives me a tissue and I clean my mouth.
Tears roll down my face. I hate throwing up.
"Oh Jules" Luke gives me a side hug and i sigh.
"I hate that Luke" I whisper.
"I know baby i know" he rubs my shoulder and kisses my forehead.
"Let's get you in bed" he takes my hand and helps me lay down coverd up with a blanket and a bucket next to our bed incase i need to throw up again.
He walks out the room and a few minutes comes back with tea and a fruit plate.
"You need to eat something" he says and helps me sit up.
"I don't want to eat anything" I complain.
"You need to eat before you can throw up again" he says and I nod and eat a few berries.
"Are you feeling better?" He asks while he massages my feet.
"A little" I sigh.
"That flu got you bad huh?" He asks and I nod.
"I have to call to school" I whisper.
"I already did that for you. It's fine. Now you can relax and rest lovely" Luke sits down next to me and I look at him with a little smile.
"What would I do without you Luke?" I ask and he smiles at me.

Luke's pov.
Towards lunch Julie started feeling a little better and she even managed to get up and eat lunch in the kitchen. After that she fell asleep on the couch again and now I'm baking her her favorite cookies. She is going to love them! I look back to the couch as I hear the Doorbell. Who could that be? But Julie is still deep asleep so I walk to open the door.
"Oh hey Mom and dad" I smile and pull them in a hug.
"Surpise visit once again" Mom chuckles and I let them come in.
"No problem. But i have to warn you we have a sick Julie in here so if one of you gets sick, that's all your fault" I explain and dad chuckles.
"Oh no. Since when?" Mom asks as she sits down at the kitchen table.
"Yeaterday" I explain and take the finished cookies out of the oven.
I put them on a plate and look over at the couch where i still see a sleepy Julie.
I guess the cookies can wait.

Me and my parents talked for a long while and Julie also joined us too.
"Want some cookies?" I ask and put the plate in the middle of the table.
"No thanks, but thank you for making them. Maybe later" she sighs and holds her head with one arm on the table. I rub her back while mom and dad tell us everything about their roadtrip they had a week ago.

Julie's pov.
I look at my favorite cookies on the plate in disgust. I don't know why but that smell is so bad. I usually love Luke's homemade cookies.
I put my hand on my mouth.
"You alright sweetie?" Emily asks but i jump up and run in the downstairs bathroom to throw up again!?
"Oh no poor girl" I hear Emily while someone rubs my back and also holds back my hair. After everything is out i look up and see Luke and Emilys worried faces.
I feel so bad.
"You threw up over 5 times today" Luke looks worried and I nod.
"Maybe i have food poisoning" I mumble.
"Maybe" Emily says and gives me a cup of water.
I soon feel a little better and i lay down on the couch again. Emily wraps me up in blankets and Luke gives me a hot towel for my hurting head.
"I'm so hot" i whisper and pull some blankets on the floor.
"Really?" Luke pats my head and I nod.
Emily sits down where my legs are and she rubs my back.
"Oh Julie it got you bad" Mitch says, he says sitting in one of our couch chairs.
"I think I might also get my period on top" I mumble and pull myself in a ball.
"What makes you think that?" Emily asks.
"I have cramps" I whisper and close my eyes. What is wrong with me?

I fell asleep again soon and I wake up with a quiet house so Luke's parents probably went home. I get up and look around the dark house. I see a silhouette next to me. It's Luke sleeping. I get up and put a blanket over him and walk upstairs to take a shower. I put some fresh pj's on and look at myself in the mirror. Somethings odd. I've been feeling like this for quite a while now...
I quickly open one cabinet door and take out what I've been searching for. A pregnancy test. I've stopped taking one for a while now. I used to do that every month but i got so frustrated so i stopped. Only 2 left....should I do it? Hell yes I'm doing it!
I quickly lock the bathroom door and take 2 tests. I want to do this alone, so i don't need to tell Luke about it when it's negative again. Which it's going to be. I'm 99% sure it's negative!

Okay Julie! 1......2......3......4......
I throw my hand on my mouth and look at the other test. Both say positive. Tears of happiness stream down my face. I need to take 3 deep breaths to calm down. Oh my god! Oh my god! I can't believe ittttt.
"Julie?" I suddenly hear and Luke knocks on the door.
I clear my throat "yes?" Shit my voice sounds itchy from the crying.
"You okay?"
"I- I'm fine!" I yell and wipe my tears away but some new ones already roll down again. I walk to open the door and hide the 2 Tests behind my back.
"I'm feeling so good actually" I smile and Luke wrinkles his forehead but looks relieved.
"Why are you crying then?" He wipes some of my tears away.
"What happend darling?"
I take his hands and place the 2 tests inside. He looks confused but takes a look. He stares at them for a long time and I start to get nervous.
"Bu- NO FREAKIN WAY" he suddenly yells and hugs me so tight. He pulls out and runs out the room. I follow him with a big smile.
"WE DID IT JULIE! WE DID IT!" He yells and runs around the room.
"Oh my gosh! WE'RE GONNA BE PARENTS!" He jumps on the bed and then jumps off to give me a long kiss.
"I love you Julie" he whispers.
"I love you too Luke" I cry and he hugs me again.
"We did it. We did it" he whispers near my ear and I chuckle.
"We did" I whisper.
Suddenly he kneels down infront of me and kisses my stomach.
"Hello bean?" He whispers and I chuckle. Bean.
"Welcome in mommys tummy. We've been waiting so long for you" he says and even more tears stream down our faces. We did it!!
