Arrangements

Part 2

She opened the door and saw her parents waiting for her as Jughead and Fp fought in the kitchen

Hal- "there she is"

Betty- "I'm sorry, but how else am I supposed to react when you tell me you're marrying me off"

Alice- "you weren't supposed to run next door to your ex boyfriend"

Betty- "can we just, not talk about that"

Alice- "you're absolutely right, let's talk about you two"

Betty looked behind her mother and at Jughead who was standing beside his dad

Betty- "fine, what do you want from us?"

Alice- "well we thought that you should move in together, so you'll be moving into a small apartment on the southside"

Betty- "what?! But I can't live on the southside! What if I get jumped"

Alice- "Jughead will be with, right?"

Fp- "he will, don't worry"

Jughead gave his dad a side eye before looking back at Betty

Betty- "when am I moving?"

Alice- "right now, I packed some stuff for you but if there's anything else that you want to take we left a suitcase for you"

Betty- "mom, please don't do this. I want to live my life the way I want"

Alice- "you're doing this for the town, your community"

Betty- (in tears) "but it's not my choice!"

Alice- "but you're going to do it, it's either this or the sisters again"

Betty foze, she hated it there. She remembered all of the bruises and burns she got there and just slowly nodded her head

Alice- (smiles) "great, I guess you're leaving then"

Betty- "I guess so"

She went upstairs into her room and Jughead followed her

Jughead- "d-do you need any help?"

Betty- (softly) "I'm okay"

She gathered the rest of her things before grabbing a stuffed bunny off of her bed

Betty- "my sister gave this to me"

Her words took jughead by surprise as he went over to her

Betty- "I named him Ferris, after our favourite movie"

Jughead- "that's really sweet"

Betty- "when she left, I begged her to take me with her but she wouldn't. I just miss her"

Jughead- "I get that, I miss my little sister"

Betty- "what happened?"

Jughead- (sighs) "my mom took her and left me behind"

He sat on the bed as Betty packed farris away

Betty- "I'm sorry Jughead, that sounds horrible"

Jughead- "well we were both left in this shitty town"

Betty- (smiles) "are you trying to be my night in shining armour?"

Jughead- "only if I have to be"

Betty- "I think I'm okay but I'll get back to you on that"

Jughead stood up and held his hand out

Jughead- "c'mon, let's head to the apartment"

She smiled and took his hand before they went downstairs and over to the southside of Riverdale
