Part 10

This was the first time they were going to be apart since they met and Jughead was dreading it even though he tried not to show it

Jughead- "be careful"

Betty- "you too"

He planted a kiss on her lips before they were separated. Jughead went home and crashed on the couch before something woke him up around three

It was a call from Betty

Earlier

They headed into Veronica's room

Cheryl- "so Betty, what's the deal with you and you're boyfriend"

Betty- well actually, h-he's my fiancé"

All of their jaws dropped

Veronica- "are you serious?"

Toni- "when's the wedding?"

Betty- "after graduation, we're also living together on the southside which Is why I wanted to come here"

Veronica- "I'm so sorry Betty, between all that and Archie cheating on you I wish we were with you more"

Betty- "you guys are here now, and that's what matters"

Veronica smiled and took Betty's hand

Cheryl- (softly) "do you know why they did this?"

Toni- "it's most likely because he's the serpent prince and she's basically the north side princess"

Cheryl- "what do you mean T-T"

Toni- "I mean think about it, Jughead's months away from becoming the serpent king and Betty's parents run the town. If they get married then it combines the north and south side"

Betty- "oh my god, I didn't even know he was the serpent king"

Toni- "o-oh, I-I'm sorry Betty"

Betty- (softly) "I-It's okat T, you didn't know"

Cheryl rubbed Toni's shoulder as Veronica hugged Betty

Betty- "and we can only assume that they're gonna expect kids from us and I d-don't know how to feel"

Veronica- "what about Jughead? Have you guys talked about it?"

Betty- "he said he wants the whole thing, wife and kids but I don't know if I can give him that"

Veronica- "I would say tell him that but I'm guessing your parents threatened the sisters again so That's off the table"

Cheryl- "I'm so sorry Betty, this is awful situation"

Betty- "I've been in worse, Jughead's actually really nice and sweet"

Veronica- "don't forget that he's also hot"

Betty- (giggles) "yes, there's also that"

They talked for awhile longer before turning off the lights and went to sleep

Betty couldn't, she tossed and turned for almost two hours before finally stepping out of the room and calling Jughead

(On the phone)

Jughead- "Betts? Are you okay?"

Betty- (sniffs) "I k-know it sounds stupid but I couldn't sleep without you"

Jughead- "that's not stupid Betts, do you want me to pick you up"

Betty- "I-I don't think so, I mainly just wanted to hear your voice"

Jughead- "so you'll be okay?"

Betty- "yeah"

Jughead- "it's going to be better okay, I know the last two days were rough but I promise I'll make it better"

Betty- (smiles) "I excited to see our future, even though we've just met"

Jughead- "I already feel like I've known you for an eternity"

Betty- (giggles) "same. we should both get some sleep, but I'll see you tomorrow"

Jughead- (smiles) "can't wait"

(Off the phone)

She turned off her phone and smiled before Cheryl came into the room

Betty- "oh, sorry Cher I didn't mean to wake you"

Cheryl- "you didn't, Toni kept kicking me.  I've been trying to get used to it but she can get extremely violent"

Betty- (giggles) "I think it's a serpent thing"

Cheryl- "wait you're sleeping in the same bed as Jughead?"

Betty- "we have to, we only have one"

Cheryl- "well have you guys.. yet?"

Betty- "what? No! We've known each for two days"

Cheryl- "but have you thought of doing it with him?"

Betty- (blushes) "no"

Cheryl- "Betty, I know when you're lying"

Betty- "okay, maybe I've thought about it a little"

Cheryl- "I knew it, are you gonna tell him?"

Betty- "tell him what? "Oh hey Jug I've been thinking about having sex with you" he'd look at me like I was insane"

Cheryl- "I guess, but I'm glad you found someone who really cares about you"

Betty- (smiles) "I am too"
